Prepare to have your tastebuds blown away. It's been a long time since I've been truly wowed by vegan food in LA and Bombay Beach created an emotional experience with food that literally had me saying DANKY at every bite!
Started with my first sip of Thums Up soda which I loved and then I was caught off guard by an Indo-Asian dish that 'til this day I'm savoring! We are in LA, so you know they had to put a spin on traditional plates to create some Indo-Mexican dishes like Takkos and their Indian Burrito (aka Frankie). Then the Indo-Italian pizza came out and I was just floored. Three people I shared the pizza leftovers with said, "It's the best pizza we've had in a long time," and that included someone that formally lived in NY. Their traditional Indian food with a vegan twist was so well thought out as an ode to their mother, that many customers often order the vegan dishes.
From the music that had kids and parents dancing next to their tables, to the welcoming service and the many visiting Indians that make it a point to eat at here when visiting LA this spot is officially a vegan FOODIE DESTINATION.

Read moreFirst of all, the food was great. We ordered two appetizers, two main dishes, and garlic naan. Everything was delicious. HOWEVER, the main gripe we have with this place is the atmosphere - it's very "live" in there. They really need to put some sound dampeners up. They were playing Indian hip-hop, which was kind of loud. But more than that was the clanking dishes coming from the kitchen. We couldn't even hear our server because it was so loud.
Another thing they need to fix is the menu. First of all, they need to add photos for all the dishes. Most of the plates don't have photos. I'm sure customers who aren't very familiar with Indian food would like to see pictures. Also, you need a QR code to see the menu on your phone. This is fine but you guys should really re-format your menu for mobile phones. We have to scroll through every single item since you can pretty much only see a couple of items at a time. This could be much more streamlined.
I would recommend this place for the food only. Everything else could be tightened up a little. Oh, and parking is pretty terrible...
Read moreMy favorite Indian restaurant not just in LA but in the US and possibly anywhere outside of India lol their tandoori chicken and naan is made fresh and you can taste the high quality ingredients they use. their paneer tikka masala, and other kormas are all also delicious. if all this wasnt enough, their service is ALWAYS kind, served with a smile, and a desire to do whatever it takes. one example, my wife got a dish Indian Spicy but once it came to the table, she realized it was too spicy for her(i teased her relentlessly for this), the staff graciously took back the dish, added some light cream to make it less spicy and brought it back! Usually with Indian restaurants, I have to choose between great quality service or food but here i got BOTH. and every time for the past 5 times ive been here. and their ambience is also top notch. i sincerely hope they get a LOT more business because quite frankly a lot of the so called “great” Indian spots ive seen recommended are mediocre and...
