Moe (the owner) has absolutely excellent coffee at Commodore. First visit, I got a 12oz plain latte. Perfect consistency, creamy, not bitter at all like the major chains. I had a 15 minute conversation with Moe about espresso and his source. He gets his beans directly from Costa Rica and his espresso is very good. His café is upscale with a big floorplan. Definitely one of the best cafés in DTLA.
Update: I had the opportunity to stop in again seven months later. Moe is still the best. I got the keto drip (buttered coffee) and a cheese danish. The Colombia drip coffee is really good. I've stopped in for lunch several times as they do have a full kitchen. Chicken tenders, pizza, hot dogs, FANTASTIC fries, wings, pasta whatever youre craving they can pretty much suite everyone's tastes.
Lots of seating options and surprisingly never super crowded. Great place for a working lunch meeting.
