COVID-19 HAZARD This business is a public health hazard!
I went a few days ago to grab dinner. While I waited for the food to be made I noticed the guy wiping down the tables had his mask pulled down. He had clearly had an active day and was breathing heavily while spreading the droplets all over - the tables, the key pad and more. Then, I looked to the kitchen where my food was being made. The employees seemed to use this small space of food assembly to take full breaks from the masks. Yes, they’re spraying potentially viral droplets all over the food before serving it. What’s more, no one had facial shields, only pulled down masks. At this point I became disgusted.
I understand that a full shift in mask is difficult. I support employees being able to step outside and breathe normally as often as needed. But these 2 men were putting all their customers at high risk!
At the time I was a bit stoned and did not want to have a confrontation. There was no way for me to bring it up without publicly shaming them and likely rallying all other customers that were present. You never know how people will react to being called out like that and I didn’t want to risk it in that moment.
I ended up just leaving. Forfeiting my food which was prepaid for.
I had hoped to notify the restaurant and give them a chance to implement safety precautions. I figured that would be better than ruining lives or a business.
But I’ve reached out to the owner, made an inquiry on their website, called multiple times and talked to a manager who wrote me off and won’t call me back. They refuse to even hear me in the first place.
So unfortunately I have to notify the public in this way in the interest of safety and slowing the spread of covid-19.
This was multiple employees (everyone but the female server - who did everything right).
I’m out $15 but I don’t have covid-19.

I was so excited to find out that they had opened up a vegan TexMex spot right next to their main cafe, which is one of the first places that I ate at when I moved to Los Angeles and have always LOVED! I can’t believe I didn’t notice sooner but I am so glad that I have no visited their new cafe!
It’s a bit small, but there’s ample seating since it goes back pretty far. Ordering is easy - you can either do it online beforehand, or use self-serve kiosks to place your order. You can ring a bell for assistance if you have questions.
We ordered quite a bit of nacho fries and tacos, but it was all out within ten minutes! All of the employees were super friendly and helpful. There’s a salsa bar for sauces and toppings, and they also provided napkins and utensils, as we were ordering it to go. I also found the pricing to be quite reasonable as well - on the low side for LA prices, especially considering it’s vegan food!
Once we got home and started eating the food, we absolutely fell in love, just as we had with the main Doomies. I swear, there’s no way to tell that this is vegan food unless you knew. In fact, it tasted way better than most TexMex I have had! The nacho fries had so many rich toppings and were so delicious and the tacos so fresh! You really couldn’t tell that the ‘al pastor’ wasn’t real meat, it was incredible!
I’m very pleased and impressed with your new cafe Doomie’s, but not surprised that you were able to do it so well! I loved the delicious, healthy vegan food, the service, and the atmosphere! I’m excited to...
Read moreI have dined here over 3 years. Each time I've gotten the dame thing. I decided to switch it up on this good Sunday afternoon after church with a vegan quesidilla. Based on their description, I assumed their "own flavor" or style would imitate a cheesy original quesidilla.
The female manager at that time already provided me with poor customer service when I needed assistance with a beverage. These prices are way too high for me not to see smiles on faces when I walk through either one of the doors and be greeted with a hello. Its HUMAN DECENCY. I left unsatisfied today and communicated them, after driving over an hour just to try something new. They were not able to accommodate me fully and when I agreed to that, they were not able to accept my form of payment. Anyways, hopefully y'all remember to acknowledge customers so if policies are enforced, you won't completely lose a customer and take up their day with negativity based on not accomadating your customers...
