Love me some Tsujita Artisan Noodle!!! We were in DTLA checking out the viral pastry spot TuCha. We were going to stop by the Tsujita Sawtelle location for dipping ramen but saw this DTLA location which was closer. It was a sign! There is metered street parking or parking lots. We parked across the street at Perfect Parking for $10/hour. This location is new and modern. Very different from the Sawtelle location. Very clean too. Unfortunately they don’t have patio seating like Sawtelle. But that’s ok. It wasn’t super busy when we arrived around 7pm. I can tell you there is usually a long line at Sawtelle so it was nice for no wait here. Milo and Erick took great care of us. Service was wonderful and they were very attentive. We ordered 2 Chashu Tsukemen ($22.45 each) and a Chashu Ramen ($20.95). Food came out pretty quickly. The Tsukemen here is always on point. The ramen is thicker but good quality and the thick dipping broth is flavorful. Tsujita is where I had my first dipping ramen and it’s my daughter’s favorite! So we try to get it when we can out here. We also ordered another 3 ramen dishes to go to feed other family that wanted some dipping ramen too. I earned enough Toast Reward Points to redeem the points for a free appetizer. I had 155 points to redeem for $7.75 worth. So I ordered Karaage ($6.95) with the rest of my to go food. Got that for free. Woot woot! Great experience at Tsujita DTLA! Food on point, cool ambiance and awesome service. Check them out and try the Tsukemen if you haven’t already. You can thank me later!

I’m usually pretty indifferent when it comes to ramen, but I have to say this is my first ramen spot that has me craving it. We came of course to try the “dipping noodles”, the Charshu Ajitama Tsukemen. It did not disappoint. While the charshu pork and eggs were equally soft and very delicious, it’s their classic broth that is the star of the dish. So rich and flavorful, that’s been cooking for over 10 hours supposedly, just makes the noodles so creamy and each bite more delicious than the last. The noodles themselves are typically cold; and much to our surprise the first time, they quickly made the broth lose heat as well. So we were told that we are able to order the noodles warmed up and even ask for even hotter broth. (Something we did order on subsequent returns) so we recommend ordering the noodles warmed up so they don’t cool your broth too fast. You can also ask for a share bowl. Each time I’ve gone with a friend we’ve shared this dish and both left very full and satisfied. One thing I found inconsistent though, was that on our first visit we were given a side of bamboo shoots it seemed but not the second time. We’re not sure if it was standard in getting them or they accidentally gave them to us. But they did add a nice texture and flavor to the broth. Along with the mushrooms in it too. The space is long and somewhat roomy with a minimalist lean. And they also apparently have a back patio that I’d like to try at some point. Overall a very delicious and filling ramen spot worth trying if you’re in the Arts District.

No amount of AI slop would be enough praises to heap upon this Ramen shop, so as usual, there will be a human writing this review from beginning to end: let's start by the fact that this is my 3rd Tsujita location I've tried (my goal is to eventually try all of their SoCal locations, so only one left), and that, overall, this is, in no way am I exaggerating the following claim, around my 50th visited Ramen shop since I moved to SoCal from Florida in 2019. I love Ramen like Kanye loves Kanye (that's such a 2016 joke, but you get the point). Tsukemen is my favorite variety of Ramen, and I must say not everyone does tsukemen the same way. The tsukemen broth here is some of the thickest, most flavorful pork-based broth ever concocted by mankind. The fact that we as a society have progressed enough to the point where we now have broth of this caliber should give us hope in our future as humans. That's how good it is. The noodles are thick, chewy, placed to perfection in their bowl and accompanied by an ideal-sized seaweed leaf and an always-welcome and perfectly cut-in-half flavored egg. The attention and service were top-notch. The ambiance was very nice (they were running a Naruto promo, which lines up perfectly with the main product of the shop), and overall this was an 11/10 experience.
