5/5 Stars: A Hidden Gem in Korea Town - H Cafe Review
Tucked away in the heart of Korea Town, H Cafe is a charming and unassuming spot that serves up some of the best coffee and brunch dishes in the area. As a coffee aficionado and food enthusiast, I was thrilled to stumble upon this hidden gem.
Ambiance: 5/5
From the outside, H Cafe appears to be a modest, no-frills establishment. However, upon entering, I was struck by the cozy and intimate atmosphere. The interior is tastefully decorated with modern furnishings, reclaimed wood accents, and plenty of natural light. The vibe is relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal spot to catch up with friends, work remotely, or simply enjoy a quiet moment to oneself.
Coffee: 5/5
H Cafe takes its coffee very seriously, and it shows. Their expertly crafted pour-overs, lattes, and cappuccinos are made with high-quality, small-batch beans. I opted for the pour-over, which was rich, smooth, and full of depth. The baristas are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, happy to guide customers through the menu and offer recommendations.
Food: 5/5
The brunch menu at H Cafe is creative, diverse, and expertly prepared. From classic dishes like eggs benedict and avocado toast to more innovative options like Korean-style breakfast burritos and matcha green tea waffles, there's something for every palate. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was a flavor bomb of spicy Korean chorizo, crispy kimchi slaw, and creamy cilantro lime sauce, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.
Service: 5/5
The service at H Cafe is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the cafe and its offerings. Orders are fulfilled promptly, and the team is happy to accommodate special requests and answer questions about the menu.
Value: 5/5
Given the high quality of the coffee, food, and service, I found the prices at H Cafe to be very reasonable. Most brunch dishes fall in the $10-$15 range, with coffee and pastries available for under $5.
Overall Experience: 5/5
In conclusion, H Cafe is a must-visit destination in Korea Town. This unassuming gem serves up exceptional coffee, creative and delicious brunch dishes, and provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just visiting the area, H Cafe is an excellent choice for a casual breakfast or lunch spot.
Will I return? Absolutely! I'm already planning...
Read moreFlew in for a girls trip for a 2-night stay and was very pleased with the hotel. The sidewalk appeal is clean, welcoming and the hotel is clear/visible from distance. Guest area is clean, smells very nice, and those attending the counter were professional and accommodating. Our room was facing 6th street, had 3 huge windows for fresh air, and we loved listening to the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel sits right across from a school and laundry mat, and is within walking distance to various restaurants and bars. There are Bird/Lime scooters everywhere as well, for those wanting to have an adventure in Koreatown. The room had an AC unit, and multiple USB ports embedded into the nightstand. The bathroom happened to be my favorite. Design is clean, fun and the shower was amazing(between the pressure and waterfall style shower head 🤌). The only difficulty we faced on our last morning, was a clogged toilet. Called front desk for a plunger and there was not one available unfortunately. We left before maintenance arrived later that morning. Having one on deck with the front desk would be a huge help to future hotel guests if they're in a pinch. Especially if a guest was perhaps a wheelchair user or had limited mobility, having to go downstairs to use the restroom would possibly be a hassle. Other than that very minor issue, our stay was extremely pleasant and inviting. Would stay again in the future.
We didn't get a chance to eat in the Cafe, but it looked extremely cute and clean, so giving it 5...

Service was incredible!! Our waiter Adam was the greatest. He made excellent recommendations and knew a lot about both the food and drink menus. We asked the hostess, I should’ve gotten her name, to sit on the patio even though no one else was out there. Not only did she do that happily, but the manager must’ve checked in with us 4 or 5 times at least just to make sure we were being taken care of, which we were.
Food was delicious!! I had chicken and waffles which was very flavorful. If you like hot sauce, I recommend theirs. It’s really rich and seasoned. Almost like a high-grade buffalo sauce. Also, they serve REAL maple syrup which is so rare at most restaurants with brunch-y items. Also had fries that were piping hot and also seasoned beautifully.
Drinks were good and not watered down...even at happy hour. Adam was also manning the bar. How he was able to make good drinks, serve tables, AND be as quick as he was? I don’t know. The man practically teleports.
Prices were very reasonable. I got a top of the line meal, two drinks, and phenomenal service without breaking bank.
I live in DTLA but I will definitely be back over and over again to give them my business. Can’t wait for my family and friends from out of town to visit so I can take them here.
If I could give them even more...
