I heard rumors about a new restaurant in Los Angeles Korea Town and decided to check it out. As soon as I entered the store, I noticed a cute mascot painted on the walls and a photo zone set up. The interior of the store had a simple and clean image. There were 4-5 tables, each with a long table bar, providing a comfortable dining experience. After placing my order and paying at the counter, the food was prepared and brought to my table. I ordered Tuna Mayo Yubu, Lemon Salmon Yubu, Spicy Fresh Tuna Yubu, Unagi Avocado Yubu, and Mala Topokki. For drinks, I ordered Shine Muscat Mojito Ade and Peach Lemonade. The menu items were displayed with photos, making it difficult to choose as they all looked delicious, but I chose based on my favorite ingredients. Firstly, the food arrived very quickly, in less than ten minutes. As someone who was hungry, a restaurant that serves food quickly is always appealing. Secondly, the Yubu served on the plates was so beautifully presented that it almost felt like a shame to eat them. As usual, I was busy taking pictures of the beautiful Yubu dishes. Thirdly, and most importantly, the taste of the food was truly amazing. Each dish had its own theme, and the flavors of each ingredient stood out. Yubu, a dish that might be unfamiliar to some, is like wrapping sushi in a dumpling skin like a taco. I highly recommend it to those who haven't tried it yet. The Mala Topokki is a must-try for those who love tteokbokki, and even for those unfamiliar with Mala, it's a popular and excellent taste that you can enjoy without any hesitation. However, be aware that the Mala Topokki is somewhat spicy. But the variety of flavored ade drinks that neutralize this spiciness act as a savior. I highly recommend ordering an ade drink with your meal. In conclusion, in my opinion, this restaurant is a recently opened, cost-effective, and very delicious eatery. The prices are very reasonable, and the taste is as excellent as any other sushi restaurant. This time, I focused on the Yubu menu, but next time, I plan to focus on hand rolls and sushi rolls. If you're not concerned about the price, and you're looking for a quality dining experience, especially if you enjoy or want to experience sushi-style cuisine, I strongly recommend...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant about a week ago, and everything we had was absolutely delicious! We decided to try a variety of yubu, kimchi fries, and the Rosé Topokki, and each dish was better than the last. The flavors were so fresh and vibrant, making every bite exciting.
The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming, with a fresh, modern vibe that really adds to the experience. It's the kind of place where you feel comfortable and relaxed the moment you walk in.
As for the portions – they’re huge! We ordered from the shared menu, and there was more than enough food for at least three people. It was great to have so much variety, and it made for a really satisfying meal.
The staff was fantastic, too. Our server was friendly, helpful, and just a delight to interact with. They made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing, which really enhanced our experience.
Overall, we had an amazing time and left completely satisfied. This place is definitely on our list for future visits, and we can’t wait to come back! If you're looking for great food and a great atmosphere, I highly recommend...

Finally hopped on the yubu train, and it’s 100% worth the TikTok hype, without a one hour wait! @kingyubu_la specializes in yubu, which is a type of Korean-style sushi that features a tasty tofu pocket stuffed with seasoned rice and some of the freshest sashimi I’ve ever had. They have so many incredible yubu options on their menu, and literally every flavor I tried was meticulously crafted and deliciously prepared. If you’re not a fan of raw fish, they also have torched fish, beef, and BBQ pork yubu options available, as well as Tteokbokki and other cooked Korean dishes on their menu. Make sure to finish off your meal with their signature shine muscat grape mojito ade, which was seriously one of the tastiest Asian-inspired drinks I’ve had! If you’re in Ktown, make sure to stop by and support the sweetest and most well-deserving Asian, family-owned small business!
