Aesthetics: 4/5 stars

Food: 5/5 stars

Service: 1/5 stars

Late review (November 12, 2018). Honestly, the service was just awful through and through. We come in with a moderately large sized group and there was only one customer ahead of us. We came on a Monday after, so it really wasn't a busy day. The two young females working the place acted like they were so unhappy with their jobs, that they were annoyed to be there and too good for the place. Wow, how entitled and annoying. They were devoid of personality and customer service.

So I place our order, which was essentially two ice creams and an ice cream drink. When the order came up, I grabbed all three little cups at once and I got distracted while I was walking to our table, which resulted in me dropping one of the cups. So I made this mess as half the contents of the cup ended up on the floor. I promptly went to the counter to let the cashier know what happened and she just looked at me with a blank expression as she looked at the spill and made zero attempt to do anything about it. I grabbed a bunch of napkins to wipe it up while my friends said, "Don't worry about it. It'll get cleaned up." Still, I tried to make sure I got as much of it as I could, threw away the wet napkins and put new ones over the mess so that no one would slip on it.

Ten to fifteen minutes pass by and still no effort on either of those girls' parts to clean it up as customers came in and out, saw it and walked around it. I couldn't believe it. This mess required a mop or something bigger than flimsy napkins, otherwise I would've cleaned it up myself because I did feel bad about it. Then the owner(?) came into the shop- an older, middle-aged Asian gentleman- and saw the mess on the floor and how his employees weren't doing anything about it. He rebuked them, pointing at it and told the cashier one to immediately get the mop and wipe it up. She looked so annoyed and moved like a sloth.

I'm sorry. With an unwelcoming, lazy staff like that, I would never return to this location, esp when there are other Honeymee stores I...

3 words: Oh my god. I would use stronger words but I don't think they would be appropriate fir a review.

I've been eating ice cream for 25 years, and this was a completely new and unique experience.

The portions are a little bit smaller than I expected them to be, but the quality more than made up for it.

Honeymee: The default ice cream was absolutely delightful. I didn't get the heavy feeling I usually do when eating a non-fruity ice cream. This was very light, and one of the best tasting ice creams I have come across. I don't know how they made this "true milk ice cream" but, as far as I have tasted, it is one of a kind. And the honey comb that comes on top. Don't get me started! First off: I don't know how honey on ice cream never occurred to me before. It just makes sense. Second: The honeycomb is not TRULY a piece of wax comb, but it is something you'd find in older fashioned "chunk honey" and that is more than enough. You can taste that it's not just honey, it has much more of a natural taste and feel.

Matcha Honeymee: The Matcha ice cream was very light and paired extremely well with the honey, just as a cup of tea with a drizzle if honey. Fantastic experience, especially after a heavy dinner.

Overall a harrowing, but enlightening, experience. I thought I had tasted some of the best ice creams around, but clearly I have much...

Fairly pricey for a tiny portion of ice cream, even for the area (as of April 2025: $5.50 base, $7 for most flavors, then the suggested tip for serving up ice cream starts at 15%). Ordering the free cornflake topping along with other toppings also cuts down on the amount of paid topping you get.

The ice cream itself had an unappealingly icy texture that tasted cheap. It was like eating soft-serve frozen milk--much less sweet than other soft-serves--but I've had creamier and softer. However, service was decent, and I appreciated that they provided water and air conditioning on a hot, busy day.

My real issue with this place is the confusing menu. I appreciated that they clarified (in handwriting) over some of their confusing naming, but still dislike the menu names: anything marked "-ade" is actually lemon-lime soda and not lemonade, only one type of "affogato" is an actual affogato with espresso, and anything called a "latte" is just flavored milk rather than an...
