Intelligentsia Coffee Hollywood Coffeebar — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Walked in with the intention on ordering but after the off putting service I received Today, I will never step foot in the place again. Prior to placing my order, I asked the barista by the name of Matthew if there was a bathroom for their customers. He gave me a really Cold, blank stare and acted as if nothing was said to him. After asking a second to time, he responds and just says yea with no intent on telling me where it was until I asked him and when I did, all He did was point in the back half of the store. As I approached the bathroom, he told me that animals were not allowed in the bathroom. I explained to him that my dog was a service animal and proceeded to use the bathroom as continued to give me a hard time. The reason as to why this is so off putting us because I observed the way Matthew interacted with customers, and his demeanor was polar opposite. He was delightful, cheery and nice but was barely acknowledged when I approached the counter until I said something. What was even more off putting is that he seemed to make more of a big deal about my 10-LB dog being in the bathroom rather than the establishment alone. It made me feel highly discriminated against and targeted. I will never step foot in this place again and keep my business...

I recently visited this coffee shop, and while the drinks were great, I had a rather unpleasant experience with the staff. The person at the cash register seemed annoyed when I asked a few questions and gave me a judgmental look. Moreover, when I received my drink, the staff member failed to inform me where I could find lids and utensils.

It's possible that because they were close to closing time and wanted to hurry customers out, but the staff's attitude left a sour taste in my mouth. Despite the excellent beverages, I can't help but feel that the staff's behavior might discourage potential clients from returning. A little more friendliness and helpfulness from the staff could go a long way in enhancing the overall experience at this...

As someone who lives in Chicago where this coffee shop was founded, I’m a little biased, but this location is STUNNING!

This coffee shop is in a great location and offers great seating options - inside and outside. The whole atmosphere is relaxing with tons of seating.

I ordered a cold brew and chocolate chip cookie and enjoyed both. The cookie really hit the spot after a day of walking around.

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the items they were selling. They continued to clean the space as people came and left - which is sometimes hard to find at coffee shops.
