I came in to pick up my food during my lunch break and realized I was a couple dollars short after I arrived . I explained to a woman behind the counter I was there to pick up my order but before I could finish she walked away . She came back and gave me my bil and I attempted to apologize for not having the full amount of money and she cut me off saying "don't order food you can't pay for " and proceeded to tell me " the owner would have denied me service whether I was sorry or not " keep in mind this infront of other customers which was extremely disrespectful. I was shocked on how rude she was being . I asked for a manager politely and she continued to be disrespectful saying "I could get the managers number on the website" knowing that wasn't true I again asked politely to just speak to someone else because I needed the managers information so I could let him know what happened. She then went and got security and attempted to have him kick me out. I understand a restaurant not wanting to waste food but the amount of disrespect over a simple mistake someone apologized for is disgusting. I attempted to call the restaurant that night and no answer . I followed up today and still no answer . It's ridiculous . I don't think the way I was treated was right and I think the fact that management isn't around to be contacted is not ok. I loved my food which is even more disheartening because I would love to come back again but with that woman's rudeness for no reason I...
Read moreHad my worst experience in LA at this bar. My friends and I went there to watch a UFC fight. First, the female bartender was extremely rude at us because she could not get our order right. The thing is, she couldn’t her it right because she barely tried to hear us and just ran around. Then, after my friends and I spent 60 dollars on beers and pizza, the table was empty for like 30min and the security guy came in asking us if we had purchased anything and if not we would have to leave. We explained we had had several beers and pizzas and he said we were cool. Then, 10min later he comes back and says we had to leave because we had not bought anything. We showed him the receipts and he said the people at the counter said we had not bought anything (at this time the rude bartender had left). This was really embarrassing for us and we were the only ones targeted by the staff of the place. Honestly, do not recommend this place. Btw, the security guy was always polite when approaching us, but this situation made us very uncomfortable (especially because it happened twice and only with us at the...
Read moreI had come for different even on the same street and parked by Elbowroom. I am handicapped and in a chair. He could have just let me go by and not say anything and watch the chaos, but he (manager? owner? I forgot to ask his name, but an older gentleman) stopped me and informed that the metered space I parked in becomes a tow zone after 8pm, doesn't matter if the handicap placard is on. He actually asked for my number and told me he'd give me a heads up if some one was trying to tow my car. True to his word he did call me and let me know a tow truck was making its rounds. He actually watched my wheelchair for me while I went to go find alternate parking.. He waited 30 minutes for me to get back and checked on me to see if every thing was ok. If this is how they take care of people that aren't even customers, I can only imagine the full experience as a patron. I hope more businesses and people were as empathetic and genuinely concerned for others as Elbowroom is. Thank you so much, sir! I will tell everyone and will make sure to stop by for a drink next time I'm in...
