The actual Access Hollywood “Tour” was awesome and our tour guide Dave did an excellent job! However, seating on the bus was a major issue. I booked this tour online for four (4) tickets at least a week prior. The day of the tour we arrived at the meeting location early (at least 15 minutes prior to departure), and we were the first of the 12 passengers to check-in. However, we were told that the coordinator “Hector” would be assigning our seats? Ok great, so 5 minutes prior to departure Hector proceeded to assign our party of four(4) to the very back row. Which was unacceptable, as there is an obstructed view from the back row due to the side-panels. Then Hector proceeded to say that I was being difficult because I requested better seats with unobstructed views? Hector, this is not my issue, this is an issue for you and your company, not the customer. The company should either offer an option for customers to select their seats at the time of booking online, or in person, or customers should be able to sit on a first come first served basis, which is what most legitimate companies do for this type of activity. I am an avid traveler, and have taken many bus tours all over the world. It really shouldn’t been this difficult to...
Read moreI recently took the Access Hollywood Tour and overall, I had a good experience. Our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable, and he provided interesting insights into the history and culture of Hollywood. We saw some famous landmarks and got to learn more about the movie and entertainment industry. Along with this, we saw a lot of celebrity houses and history of some of Hollywood's most famous establishments.
However, there were a few moments that made me and some of my fellow passengers feel uncomfortable. Our tour guide had a tendency to make comments to other drivers on the road, which sometimes came across as aggressive or confrontational. While I understand that driving in Hollywood can be challenging, it would have been better if our guide had focused on the tour and not on the other drivers.
That being said, the tour itself was enjoyable and informative. We got to see some great sights and learned a lot about the entertainment industry. If you're a fan of movies or celebrity culture, the Access Hollywood Tour is definitely worth considering. Just be aware that there may be moments where you feel a bit uncomfortable due to the tour guide's behavior towards other drivers...
Read moreThe actual tour was fine, I am giving it 3 stars because I completely got hussled for the price. They claimed they were going to give me the tour for $30 each (my 7 year old and myself). The guy rang me up before I took out any form of payment, I handed him a hundred dollar bill, he had already rang me up for 61.72 cash payment. It was 2 of them one that charged me and the other that rushed me onto the bus...when I counted the change in my hand I realized he gave me 28 dollars back. A 20, a 5 and three singles. Receipt says I gave him exact change because like I said he rang me up before I had even taken out the money so I thought about how to confront the situation the whole damn tour but decided to just leave an honest review. If they have to rush people on the bus so they won't notice the incorrect change right away then I figured they probably need the money more than I do. Needless to say that ruined my experience. I'm a local and just wanted to take my son to see the Hollywood sign since he had been asking. I'll be fine but tourist be aware, we don't call it Hollyweird...
