The owners Patti & Jesse are amazing! After even a short visit you feel like you’re close friends. The coffee you ask? Absolutely delicious. I used to be just a tea and matcha person but they have opened my eyes to new things and you can tell that this is their passion just by them explaining to me all the wonders of the coffee world. I can for sure say I’m a coffee person now thanks to Lontra. If you’re in the DTLA area this place is a MUST visit!

Lontra Coffee is an absolute gift and a treasure to LA Coffee and was a destination stop for me in my travels and now always will be. Not only is the coffee incredible, the service is friendly in an above-and-beyond capacity and the story of how Patti, Jesse & Alvaro cultivated this shop makes you want to support over and over again. Their signature drinks are always on point, the latte art is breathtaking & they’re doing wonders with Flux Coffee! Definitely try one of everything on the menu.

Lontra Coffee is hands down my go to spot in downtown LA especially when I am out at the flower market. I love their seasonal drinks they always bring a fun twist to my coffee routine. Their danishes are absolutely delicious and the perfect pick me up. Whether I am working on my laptop or just hanging out it is such a welcoming environment with plenty of tables and charging ports which makes it super easy to get stuff done. The staff are always so friendly and really add to the vibe. If you are ever in downtown LA treat yourself!!! Lontra Coffee is a little downtown gem worth...

I don’t think you can find a better coffee shop in downtown LA! I’ve been working in the area since 2018 so trust me, I’ve done the homework.

Lontra is amazing. From their house-made syrups for their lattes, to their fresh pastries, and good music every time you come in, this place is incredible.

And the best part about Lontra is the people. The owners are amazing people and baristas and make sure everyone feels welcome and happy. You know they care so much about perfecting every cup...
