For over 12 years I frequented this location because my gay Orthodox Jewish husband of the Chabad-Lubavitch tradition would only allow me to eat Glatt Kosher despite his own hypocrisy. My now ex-husband (relief!) seemed to be friends with the owners and staff who were perpetually cordial to him yet beyond rude to me and I was even refused service 3 different times when I came in on my own for take-out. Make no mistake the food is repugnant and the restaurant is filthy and disgusting fraught with a mouse and roach problem. They also very rarely wipe off their tables and countertops. Even when we were the only patrons in the establishment everything was dirty and no one swept or cleaned tables at all! Their chimmichurri is like eating a piece of rubber tire and their fish tacos have the odor and texture of roadkill! I was unable to eat any fish or soy item here but managed to swallow a few times the dairy/vegetairian options much to my chagrin. My Italian grandmother would turn in her grave to think that I fallaciously-loved a Jewish person so much as to frequent this excuse for a restaurant with him and put their excuse for pizza anywhere near my mouth! Dreadful eperience and the owers and staff brazenly insulted and discriminated against me every time I reluctantly patronized. I don't get why I was always judged and snubbed off when any "marriage" is a 2-way street?? = the naturally-born Jewish guy despite openly and pridefully breaking many commandments of the Torah was treated on a human level and the convert (me) was treated like trash! In the end this location is a horrifying with bad food if you can even call it food! Moreover Darren is the rudest person on the planet constantly gossiping about everyone in the local Orthodox community including his own customers. The restaurant has a mysterious order of a locker room not...
Read moreThe best pizza in LA and we left fully satisfied and happy! You made our temporary stay welcoming! Our family of 8 ordered two Vegetable pies and 8 soft drinks. Perfectly crispy on the bottom and crunchy but soft crust, fully cooked throughout the dough and the vegetable toppings were perfectly roasted. We have eaten a lot of different pies in different cities, and only a handful will pass with us. This pizzeria is by far one of the best pizza establishments we have been to, across the country. This one is in the top 5 on our list to revisit over again. Our Children enjoyed it as much as we did because sometimes it is hard to please children’s taste buds. Your food is a Wonderful work of art in baking and cooking, keep it up! Definitely will be a place to return to next time we are in town....
Read moreI've been searching for good pizza for years. I've been driving by this place for 30 years and never gave it a chance because it always looked closed. You should definitely check it out. I ordered my first pizza from there yesterday and it was great. Good crust, generous toppings and good flavor. It's not the cheapest but they do cater to diet restrictions such as Kosher and gluten free. Friendly staff, and it was much larger inside than I thought it would be...lots of tables to dine in, if that's your thing (I took mine to go). I will be ordering another pizza when they reopen after Passover and maybe trying some of their other dishes. Paking is a bit hectic, but a spot usually opens up at one of the meters in front or one of the...
