Read moreI've been about six times now across maybe six months. My first visit wasn't anything to brag about and I didn't know what the other good reviews were talking about. I didn't go again until maybe 3-4 months later, and I've been about 5 times since. My second visit was really amazing, I get the mee goreng vegetarian and also got the vegetarian curry to try, my first visit that was not good was the nasi goreng with tofu. I usually pick up dinner after a jog or hike when I don't have my wallet or cash, typically just my watch to tap to pay with. It is a little awkward that they don't want you to pay with card, my first three visits they offered with no concern but after that they ask for cash only but still had a card reader to use if tap was the only option. Ive just placed my order on Uber eats for pickup the last two times to avoid that alltogether and just check in to let them know there's no rush (still always fast for me) and that I'm ready when the food is, and they've been fast and good quality every time. Today, 08-14-24 I picked up my order at about 4:30/5pm, and it was very busy with maybe five orders waiting in line. My food still came super quick, and might be the best I've had it (wanted to give kudos to the girl in the back that looked like she cooked it). The man at the counter was also very...
Read moreI am even surprised that they even dare to name the dishes original Singapore Malaysian cuisines. Having resides all over S E Asia, Singapore and Penang, I will tell you that besides obnoxiously overpriced, the boys that are running this 'banana leaf' don't even know how to fried a proper plate of simple yellow Asian noodle let alone calling it Mee Goreng that have no spice, no taste and completely uncooked Luke warm noodles on a cold LA morning. Its seems that they toss the noodle in the wok or something add a few veg then call it Mee Goreng. Shameful.
Satay tasteless, over-cooked dry to the bone. The only item even worth eating is the Peanut satay sauce, then again, I suspect its from a bottle from Asian Manufacturer. the way they cook the noodle tells me they don't have the quality to whip up the Peanut Satay Sauce, themselves. Please, ownership guys if you are reading this, please change your name and stop embarrassing Malaysian and Singapore World Class Cuisines with a bad name and false taste and impression. Very Sad, worse food I ever...
