Decent vibe, horrible event planning. A few weeks ago I went here to try a draft. Knowing drafts don’t fire always fire I called them up and asked to sign up. To which I was told you just have to come in and show up. So I come for the draft, and only 1 other person showed. Shrugged it off, and knew drafts can be hard to run.

Today I wanted to come to the ixalan pre release. Tried to sign up online, and was left on the “payment processing screen.” When I called them up like the website advised the dude working told me to just come in and couldn’t hold a spot over the phone. So after driving over to the place they tell me the last place had already been filled up. For a sealed pre release.

It’s a shame because the people working here are nice. But honestly just the way they organize events makes having to come through traffic not worth just playing on arena for a...

Tl;dr unless you’re trying to have the hostile “sweaty” gaming experience that has driven away so many people from MTG, don’t come here.

I came to the Edge of Eternities prerelease with two friends and won’t be coming back. I would NOT come to this store if you’re looking to have a casual or friendly game, if you’re not a cis man, or if you intend on trying to be part of a community.

I’ve been playing the game for over 20 years and it was one of the more hostile environments - guys I played against wouldn’t even answer the question “how are you doing?” and just proceeded to shuffle and stonewall me. The person working the front desk blew off my new friend when he was trying to ask about singles. I was scolded for asking about what tables I could sit at. Players bragged about qualifiers and refused to help newer players. I could go on,...

Turn Zero is absolutely fantastic! I don't love anywhere near here, but I try to spend as much time here as possible. It truly is the best place for Magic in the LA area, IMO.

Other shops play other games and you never know if anyone will be playing your game fee when u you walk in the door. At Zero we grind Magic, and at a pretty high level compared to any other shop I've been to. This is the place to develop your skills and get better at the game. Parking's a challenge, but where isn't it in LA? Though there are some nights where you luck into a good spot on Wilshire (free parking after 7!) or in the small lot behind the shipping center.

Great environment, friendly staff, huge inventory (they carry most Ultimate Guard products,) and open until midnight. The gold standard of shops I've...
