Uncle Paulie's Deli — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I had one sandwich there awhile ago. It was great. I am sure my sandwich today was going to be great as well. Sadly, I didn’t get the sandwich. I was greeted at the counter by Jonathan, I asked if the breakfast items where sandwiches (doesn’t state they are), I just wanted to make sure I knew what I was ordering. Jonathan said “of course” I said “what, it doesn’t state that so it’s not ‘of course’”. He then let me know it is a Deli. I was in the service Industry for 16 years and I was always polite and never made any one feel like they were stupid. I ordered my sandwich and paid for it. There was only one ticket hanging there and it wasn’t mine. Jonathan made 3 sandwiches while I was standing there (for what I can assume was for a to go order since I was the only person there, other than 6 employees). I waited and counted the employees, which about 4 weren’t doing anything at all. Jonathan started on his 4th sandwich, while the others were standing around and I blurted out that I’d like a refund and I’d like to leave. I got my money back and my tip and at that point I was informed that my sandwich was ready (it was made in the back area, who knows what???). It shouldn’t have taken 6 people 10 minutes to make my 1 sandwich and a to go order of About 5 sandwiches. I guess I won’t be going back there. I have coffee every day next door at Kings Rd for over 20 years. It wasn’t a big infraction that happened to me at Pauli’s but, if your menu isn’t clear the employees shouldn’t assume you should know what implied even if it says Deli. Really great sandwiches. Crafted well, thoughtful and awesome ingredients. Issue is there delivery service ChowNow. The worst in the business. I'd hate to see this great restaurant get hurt by bad partners. Worst food ordering service ever! Order almost every sandwich on the menu, chips and lemonade. Each was outstanding. An hour and half goes by no food. I call the restaurant, they say the chownow driver has the food en route, call them. I call chow now. They say they're not responsible for the food, the restaurant is. So they make an online portal, happily take consumer's money but never care if the food is delivered. Finally received my food 2...

I've heard of Uncle Paulie's prior to moving to LA, the Merchandise was fun and spotlighted on Pete Davidson. I mean hey I would wear their Merch too it's cool and Minimal and specially looks cozy! This little deli is cute for sandos vibes and good food overall! Staff is as friendly when we went, food was delicious! And it's next to one of my favorite coffee shops verve! Plenty of parking spots, cute neighborhood on 3rd! I definitely need to have time back to go, and try out all the breakfast and the hot sandwiches.
