I’ve been excited to try this place for days as they just had their grand opening on Saturday 10/25 and I was looking forward to trying new ramen in town. I understand they have just opened but I don’t think they are properly prepared. No dine in menus, togo menus were given to us as we sat down. No soda machine, only water and boba/fruit teas. I got the mango milk tea which wasn’t bad, I did appreciate the real mango chunks. My niece got the boba tea and the bobas were still hard and the milk tea was watered down lacking flavor. We proceeded to get a few apps to start with. The fried gyozas were exceptional, the spring rolls were mediocre and very loosely rolled so they fell apart completely while trying to take a bite. The crab rangoons were very small with hardly any filling at all for the price.
As my meal I got the Yuzu Chicken Ramen. I genuinely tried to eat it but i couldn’t get past the foul taste of the broth. Lacked flavor and the flavor it did have, was disgusting. The noodles were mushy and way too overcooked. My brother got the Curry Beef Ramen, the broth was pretty good but the noodles again, were completely overcooked. The beef was definitely unappealing and contained weird looking holes and cartilage. They weren’t able to tell us what kind of cut it was which made it even more unappealing. We also got the Chicken Katsu bento box and unfortunately it was undercooked and covered in mayo and ketchup which isn’t described on the menu at all.
This place definitely has potential but unfortunately it’s not there and I don’t know that I will be back because of how bad this experience was for my family. Hopefully this place is able to execute where it’s needed or else I can’t see anyone...
Read moreEgg 5/5 it was probably the best egg you're gonna get in Louisville. Chashu pork was 3/5, good flavor but the fat is chewy and hard to bite off. Broth was 4/5, pretty good. Noodles were 3.5/5 nothing special but not bad. My wife tried the tonkatsu and that was really good broth wise, I recommend it. I ordered the yuzu ramen and I don't recommend it. The food came out very quickly. Next time I'll try the shoyu ramen.
I'll be coming back, but there are things I'd like to see improved. The menus need to be updated. They all have almost the same description. The Yuzu and the chicken ramen are literally the same description but the yuzu is a very strong citrus flavor. Also it says the yuzu comes with chicken chashu and I got pork. The chashu pork needs to be improved to cook down...
Read moreBeen wanting to try this place since I first saw it pop up! My friends and I went and everything was delicious! The staff were kind and made sure to check on us often, and our food came out quick and delicious! We got the pork katsu bento box, the chicken ramen, and tonkatsu ramen! The katsu bento was nice and crispy and the ramens were flavorful! We even got the Thai tea and it wasn’t overly sweet, it was just right. Also tried some sushi rolls and they were amazing as well! We’re all very excited to have a new ramen place closer to us and to try more...
