There were three people working when I came in to get lunch. The girl in the back didn’t do anything wrong, however the two young men who were working seemed to think it was okay to use their gloves to touch the screen when cashing someone out and then continued to make subs with the same gloves. As the one man was making the sub in front of mine - I said, ‘do you not change your gloves after you touch the screen?’ A little taken aback by my question, the man said ‘oh uh.. I used my knuckle to touch the screen, but I can change them..’ and he proceeds to change one glove that touched the screen. The other worker did the same thing so I said basically the same thing to him after I saw him touch the screen with his gloves on. He barely acknowledged my comment and when I asked, ‘do people touch that screen without gloves on?’ He said, ‘yes’ so I replied ‘and you touch it with gloves on… so that kinda defeats the purpose of the gloves, does it not?’ He then responded, ‘not really’ dismissing me once again. When he rang out my order, I asked him ‘do you not have pride in your job? Do you just hate your job so you don’t care?’ And he just asked if I wanted any drinks. So in conclusion.. this restaurant hires workers who don’t care about cleanliness and proper food handling. I really hope this reaches someone who can address this. I even asked for their names, and when doing so I realized they didn’t have name tags on, which the second (ruder) worker replied - ‘we don’t have to give you our names’ well REMI your name is on...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite places to eat. The staff is always friendly and takes the time to address you by name (after they ask for it) or remember you from a previous visit. One employee in particular stands out. I;m not sure of her name but she has dark hair and is of average height. She gives outstanding service every time. The food is great. I highly recommend the hot subs. They just ooze with flavor and cheese. Lots of cheese. The colds subs are a treat, also, but only when ordered Mike's Way. This includes seasonings and oil and vinegar. It really makes the sandwich great but should only be ordered when you can afford to get a bit messy. Finally, their loyalty program is great. I have earned several free subs from them so far and I have one waiting as I type this. I highly recommend visiting. I can't attest to other locations, but this one in particular...
Read moreMy fiance and I stopped in last night 10 mins till close. I felt awful being those customers but, after almost 12 hours of making coffee drinks for a bunch of real estate people at cobo, the staff of 4 was absolutely amazing. Even after dealing with the rough customer ahead of us, they were kind. We assured them that we were fine and to take their time. As someone who's worked in the food service in a busy retail environment, I know how those last minute, 5 min to close customers can be. When I paid for our meal, I left them a decent tip and thanked them for there service. The young lady at the register said how appreciative they were for it. I had a wonderful day and they continued the good vibe, so I was just passing it on. This was my first time visiting this location, we live in Pontiac and would definetly drive to this location for the wonderful...
