Had a 50/50 experience today. Typically a customer at the St. Louis park location but I work and live in maple grove now so this location is more convenient. Food was fresh and had a reasonable wait time, wasn’t horribly packed, very clean, I was pleased at first. Due to food allergy, I asked for the hamburger instead of a cheeseburger, however, my partner noticed cheese oozing from my wrapper and told me to check the burger. Obviously there was mistakenly cheese on it, which yes, if I didn’t have an allergy I wouldn’t mind at all, I’d love to eat dairy again if I could. My partner nicely went inside with the burger and the receipt to show them the mistake. My partner came back about ten mins later and was annoyed, he said that when he presented the mistake, he said the employees were extremely rude and told him they weren’t taking it back. Obviously he knew that but was trying to present the mistake as would any person with the wrong order and had to explain I had a food allergy. He said the staff, including cashier did not seem happy they had to fix their mistake by making a new one. Only reason I’m writing this is because food allergies are very serious, people can get very sick, it’s different compared to someone just being picky over a small mistake. So hopefully next time this happens the staff will be more understanding of a food allergy.
Other than that, I’m grateful for the fresh food, and seeing a clean restaurant. I’m sure I’ll...
Read moreI was really disappointed by my experience here. I walked in to a completely empty store around 5:00pm with not an employee in sight. I waited at least two minutes before somebody came from the back room and apologized - I get it, I worked retail, it happens. He asks me if I want a drink or fries with that - shouldn't he offer a 30c drink for free as an apology? Oh well, it wasn't a big deal I thought, that's okay.
Then while I'm sitting down, a song one of the employees must have really liked came on, so they turned the volume WAY up in the store with two other customers there. Okay, that's kind of annoying, but they're happy about their music, whatever.
But what really started to grind my gears is that the music went from super loud to quiet to super loud, and whoever was doing it couldn't stop touching the volume knob. I just wanted to enjoy my burger.
I get that you want to have fun at work, but first, if you keep somebody waiting, you should make it right. But this whole experience was really annoying and quite frankly really unprofessional. I'm not one to leave a poor review but this experience really stuck out to me, especially because I remembered liking five guys so much in the past, and I was really excited to...
Read moreSince they're doing curbside pickup up during the pandemic, I ordered online and selected curbside. When I got there, there were two large signs saying to call a specific number for curbside pickup. A guy picked up the phone and told us that they're waiting on our fries and will bring it out shortly. After 30 minutes of waiting and numerous people getting their orders fulfilled, I tried calling to figure out what's going on with my order and they kept pushing my call to voicemail, even when there was a gal that was standing there. So, I proceeded in to figure out what's going on, which I'm trying to avoid large crowds. This girl said they're still waiting on fries, over 30 minutes ago and my burgers been sitting there for that long too. Yes, when I got home the burgers were soggy. Also, if you're advertising that you're providing a specific service, you should be fulfilling it. Will not...
