I'm changing this from a 5-star review to a 1-star review because I am hoping to get this location's attention without having to bother them directly and be that guy who calls just to complain.
Ok, so let me be clear that the food is awesome (for fast food, and only when the daytime shift people are there). The problem is, it seems to me the employees at this location don't have good listening skills. Please allow me to explain:
I always only go through the Drive-Through. I always order one of the following (always A La Carte):
1 Original Double 1 Large order of Chicken Tenders (5 pieces) 4 barbecue sauces and 2 honey mustards
Or...
2 Original Doubles 1 Small order of Chicken Tenders (3 pieces) 2 barbecue sauces and 1 honey mustard
Or...
2 Original Doubles 1 order of regular size french fries
Nearly every single time, the orders below is usually what they seem to hear:
1 Original Single 1 Large order of Chicken Tenders (5 pieces) Just a couple of barbecue sauces, a honey mustard and maybe even some ranch
2 Original Singles, or just 1 Original Single 1 Small order of Chicken Tenders (3 pieces) 1 barbecue sauce and 1 honey mustard or maybe some ranch
2 Original Doubles 2 orders of regular size french fries
This is beginning to really get on my damn nerves. I'm tired of having to correct them.
Then to make matters worse, ordering Chicken Tenders means I have to wait for nearly 10 minutes to get my order.
If that weren't bad enough, I have to make sure I go there when the daytime shift people are working because they always do a much better job than the night shift workers. The best time to go is within the first few hours after they open.
So yeah, I'm getting close to losing my patience with these people.
----------My original review is below----------
This is by far the best fast food I've ever had. It's so good that I could've been convinced that my food came from a decent sit-down restaurant. I am definitely going to be a regular customer from now on!
Edit: This edit is for my 2nd visit. My first one was at around 12:30 or 1pm., drive-thru. It was an excellent experience. This 2nd visit was after 9pm on a Friday night, drive-thru again. I got exactly what I expected: inferior service, and inferior food quality - as compared to my first time.
I ordered 2 original doubles and 1 order of french fries. When they repeated my order back to me, it was something like "2 burgers and an order of french fries". I guessed that's the same thing, so I thanked them and drove up to the window. They took my payment and then I waited for several minutes. I don't know how long I waited, so it could've been for 10 minutes. It didn't bother me though. After all, they were making my dinner, so I was already filled of gratitude. I was happy to wait. There's never any room for impatience or irritation when I'm waiting on someone to make my dinner for me! They'd have to personally insult me or something to get me upset. Y'know?
The person who came to the window after all that waiting cheerfully greeted me with a dollar amount to pay (they thought I was the customer behind me). We had a friendly laugh and friendly exchange over that funny mix-up and then I went back to waiting. A few more minutes and I got my food (again, friendly cheerful service) and I was happily on my way. Mmm... Freddy's burgers and fries again!
Unfortunately, I discovered when I got home that it wasn't quite as fresh or as special as the first time. It was still good, but it was much closer to typical fast food this time (but still better than typical fast food). I expected this though due to going there so close to closing time on a Friday night. So I guess from now on, I will only get Freddy's if I can go during the day. :) Edit #3: and yep, I went again at around 3pm and it was excellent. I want to try Five Guys next, but I dunno,...
Read moreVERY disappointing. But aren't ALL places like this? Such potential, if done correctly.
STAFF IS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT!! And it's NOT because they are new. They simply CANNOT get an order right. And don't even TRY to customize a burger! Front counter people have NO IDEA how to run the register. This is simply who they ARE, and they would be the same way at ANY place they work. Why have ten morons messing everything up? when you can have 5 GOOD employees getting MORE done BETTER. This flooding the floor with bad employees crap NEVER works.
The food is so so, to rather bad, TBH. Burgers remind me of burgers from high school - flavorless - and get COLD FAST, because they are twice the width of the buns and are so flat you can see through them, NO KIDDING! Toppings are sparse unless you ORDER the California version, of course $$, but that burger turns to a complete mess because there's no room for anything under the bun. The fries are those goofy bland shoestring deal. They get COLD FAST as well because they are SO SMALL. You have to grab ten of them to dip. Fry sauce is good, but it's just a poor man's blander version of McDonald's special sauce.
Why is the entrance so far away from the parking lot? Outdoor music will make you deaf from just walking by it. The interior is a maze to walk through.
BTW I was VERY excited about this place when I saw it coming. LOL! That's how 180 I am. If the burgers were better and the fries regular size it would be worth the money, but as it is .... I recommend stop there ONCE so you can say you did, but don't go spend crazy (otherwise you'll regret it later) and keep your expectations way down. Culver's/Five Guys are better.
My KINGDOM for IN-N-OUT Burger. Imagine a fast food burger joint like ALL these places PRETEND to be. That's...
Read moreGreat food made fresh to order and seasoned just right. The shoe string french fries are crisp, light and a one of a kind item you can't find anywhere else. Add seasoning and dipping sauce for extra zing!
Prices are very reasonable. However the kid's ice cream club that involves buying and wearing a t-shirt everytime the child orders is a bother and the incentive needs to be revised.
HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY - The restraunt space itself is accomodating, getting inside was a challenge. The door I entered faced the handicap parking but did not offer an automatic door. The door is made of heavy glass and tends to shut on you, was hard to open and manage.
The restaurant space itself is brightly painted and brightly lit, which helps see better when moving around and looking at the menu from a distance. There are low tables for handicap seating. The aisles are wide and spacious, even when the restaurant began to get busy there was still ample room to turn and move.
The only problem I saw was a wet floor sign sitting long after the floor had dried. The sign was obstructing access and I stumbled on it. There was also something else sitting on the floor - it would help if staff removed items promptly when no longer needed, and was more conscious of placing items in such a way that they didn't pose a hazard. It would also be nice for staff to greet customers...
