My wife went to the White Bear Lake location Saturday about 5:00 for our supper. I've been craving Culver's for over two years! A medical condition created my need for a feeding tube because of my inability to eat solid food. I was very excited with anticipation because I was ready for some real food! And it was going to be my one of my favorite meals that I've been craving for quite some time, The Shrimp Dinner! When she returned, she set a little box of 5 shrimp in front of me. I asked where's the mashed potatoes, coleslaw and warm bun? She told me that as she was began to tell him what our choice of sides were, he stated that it doesn't come with coleslaw anymore but the mashed potatoes could be ordered on the side. I was disappointed to say the least. I was getting ready to go back and get what I've been craving and she said I wouldn't have much luck because the lobby was packed really tight with so many folks waiting to place an order or waiting for their food. The line of cars in the drive thru line was wrapped around the building! The whole fiasco was created by a single employee that was causing so much confusion. She was putting together orders incorrectly and when others were putting their orders together, the items were missing and the cooks had to prepare them a second time. If course it didn't take long before it snowballed into a total cluster **! The gal creating all this refused to listen to anyone as they were trying to get her to stop! In return , she was rudely exclaing loudly that everyone else is causing this because of one thing or another. You know the type, never admit their wrong and blame everything and anything on everyone else. I do have a suggestion if I may and hopefully don't offend anyone, but maybe revisit your current hiring practice and think about what would be better questions to ask during interviews. Also take a look at the training the new hires are getting. Kinda reminds me of an old saying I once learned. "There are no bad children, only bad parents!" I wish you all good luck and good health. Remember, stress kills. It's been nice visiting your location but I'm sorry to say I'll never return. Oh, by the way, you shorted me...
Read moreMy wife ordered ice cream for my family, paid, waited in line in her car in the drive thru waiting area with my two young daughters in the car. After waiting patiently for 20 minutes, she asked the runner what was happening and if he could check on her order. She waited 15 more minutes with no update or response and asked again the next time she saw the runner. Lady behind her in a different car is having the same experience and waiting for ice cream for over a half hour while other people are receiving their orders with food and ice cream. She asks the runner again 10 minutes later, doesn’t sound like this runner has any idea why she hasn’t received her ice cream yet or when it might arrive, doesn’t seem to understand that she’s asked him for the status on her order 3 times over the course of 45 mins, so she asks for a refund, promptly received the refund and no apologies. There was only one other car left in queue at this time when she received her ice cream, so it’s hard to understand why she had not receive her ice cream.
This is our local Culver’s, we have always enjoyed the food and service for the most part. We understand it must be hard to hire, train, and retain staff at this time. But I want to give you a heads up that there’s something wrong here. We hope we can come back after a little time apart and expect a...
Read moreThis Culver's is conveniently located just North off hwy 694 and hwy 6, Exit 50. Its sign is easily seen from the highway.
It is a very welcoming restaurant even on a cloudy winter day in MN. The parking lot is well maintained and free of snow and ice.
The Handicapped parking is right up close to the building and well identified.
The interior has a warm inviting glow of muted warm pastel colors and textures.
The place is virtually spotless and clean the customer service, friendly happy to see you conscientious and confident. Professionally attired with appropriate hair and makeup and posture.
The furniture is in good condition and comfortable.
The food was hot well prepared I ordered the Culvers Deluxe with bacon basket. The portions were good although the burger was little greasy and on the skimpy side with the lettuce.
The flavors were good and it was an enjoyable experience.
The drink and condiment station was clean and displayed nice and logically. All the bins were stocked to meet your needs.
There were an adequate number of selection at the sink station which served Pepsi products.
All in all it was a pleasant experience and the snow is beginning to fall so I better wrap up this review...
