We love Mezah but this location really needs some serious attention and improvement. This is the closest Mezah to us so this review is not based on just one experience rather several experiences. Like many other reviews have mentioned the two ladies at the front of the house (one of which I believe is the manager) needs some serious training on customer service. The employees tend to talk while customers are trying to place orders like paying patrons are an afterthought to their conversations. I’ve observed several times where the employees are having a great time until a customer walks in and the attitude changes immediately. Yesterday I went in for a greens/grains bowl and there were no greens and I was told they didn’t have anymore. This was around 3:30 pm. He didn’t try to look or ask anyone just told me sorry we have none. What was remaining in the pans was minimal at best and had been sitting out for some time and was turning. I settle for just rice and the manager walks out to assist my husband. Again, she has an attitude and isn’t friendly or welcoming. Placing our orders they were talking to each other and my husband and I had to repeat what we wanted several times. We sit down and out comes the manager with several bags of fresh salad greens. Juice machines were half working some with the lids completely off. Unclean silverware, unclean tables and floors and zero napkins. As we are eating another couple enters the restaurant and places their order and the gentleman and I both had gotten up at the same time to grab something and he told the manager the customer experience here is not good - nothing we need is available to which she makes zero eye contact and says “I know I’m sorry.” We were the only 4 patrons in the restaurant and often when we have gone they aren’t busy so there is no reason why with 4-5 employees the restaurant should look the way it does. Hopefully management/corporate sees these reviews and starts taking action. If you can make it to Mezah in Gaithersburg I strongly recommend it bc this location just isn’t...

I have never actually been inside this restaurant but we eat there at least once a week , we just do it in our living room , and get these huge marvelous bowls filled with... everything you know is good for you but you are too lazy to make? Or tasted it once and hated it ? You know all those things you know you are supposed to be doing and eating? Like putting sunflower seeds on salad or trying to remember to put some kale or tap water or tummeric or some other thing you havevin your pantry. how is a person supposed to eat pickled beats or at least half of the accepted " super foods" well, i just pile every single one of those things in my bowl because when the make it in Mezah all night im up to my neck in a gigantic bowl of glorious, turnips and pickled beets , turkish salad, KALE, cruchy chick peas , marinated olives, spouts , sauces , hummas in five differant styles, the most amazing carrots in mint. So i guess im useless at reviewing the restaurant having never set foot in it but as for that big white bag coming in the door every week or more i can vouch for the food ! The make your own bowls are fantastic and easy to hide healthy stuff in if you must have to suffer through it . because of the way they make it for you and you get to pick from the most scrumtuous menu and throw all the best bits (there are no bad bits ) into a big old bowl however you like to and believe me we all like it. We like it a lot. Its a great way to try just a bit of everything and then find your favs and then you can feel smug and sassy and superior when you see that what once passed for " fast food " was just BAD FOOD . Because it takes just as much time to order GOOD FOOD from Mezah and now your NOT laying on the couch feeling bloated and awful, YOUR CHRUSHING IT THIS...

Ordered from Germantown Mezeh catering this past weekend for a small gathering and was very happy with the food and customer service, especially from William at that store.

I had a little hiccup with my order, which, unfortunately, could not be managed online or with the app. (more about that in a minute.) However, I called the store and William personally handled the matter for me with the Doordash delivery and their web host Zupper. The food was absolutely delicious and the servings were just right for our crowd. We have eaten inside the restaurant before and always found the staff to be terrific.

Since we changed our order from delivery to pickup, the woman who prepared the order (so sorry we didn't get her name) knew exactly what was in our order and was so helpful in making sure we had everything we needed.

My only complaint, which I will not ding Germantown about, is for Mezeh Corporate. They have two different online ordering platforms that are not integrated. I placed the order online (PC), creating an account to do so. Later, I attempted to access the order by downloading the app and logging in with the same UID/PWD. I later learned that there is no connection between them. That also includes rewards. So the huge order I placed got Zero rewards since I ordered online w/ PC. Then, because I couldn't access my order on the app, I hopped back on the computer and logged in, but the online web account didn't show that I had any order at all... including the one I had just placed! So I couldn't modify my order, add to it, at all. Mezeh Corporate - you really need to fix this.

Anyway -- none of this takes away from the good food and service. Go see the crew at Mezeh Germantown, MD - they are a welcome addition to the limited Germantown...

This should be 5⭐️’s, and I’ll explain in a few. We always get our food To-Go, and have never experienced any issues with long waits. The staff tend to move the line without hesitation. The food is displayed neatly with enticing colors and aromas. We typically order the bowls and every layer is delicious. Here is where the two missing ⭐️’s are… With every visit that we have made to this location to order food, we’ve ALWAYS experienced the same annoying issue. When we ask for EXTRA spoon of a topping(ex. Crumbled Feta), the staff serving us gets visibly annoyed with every request. Visiting today for dinner, we experienced the same annoying behavior from the staff member. I love the pickled onions, and wanted three spoons servings of them. When I asked the staff member, I was ignored, and I had to repeat that I wanted more onions, I witnessed the same visible annoyance as we deal with every visit. I ask for an extra side of dressing, because one has never been enough, and the same visible annoyance begins to change the staff members voice to uninviting. The staff member began ignoring us, and looking everywhere but at us, even when responding to us. If the toppings and dressings are a fee, then I’m willing to pay extra. We always get extra Pita bread, and we are aware and fine with the extra fee. I’ve witnessed the same unacceptable behavior affect other patrons in front, or behind me. This type behavior has made me choose other dining options near by, when I wanted Mezeh. I hope this behavior is corrected soon, and more training is given to those employees who have the power to make patrons want to return…, or stay away.

Very delicious, moderately priced, and a healthy option for lunch or dinner. It’s arguably one of the best Mediterranean food joints in the area even though you make your bowl similar to what happens at Chipotle. Although it’s only a casual restaurant, don't let that fool you about the flavors. They truly bring Mediterranean flavors and fresh ingredients to the forefront with a large selection of topping options to choose from. They offer unlimited toppings for every bowl which includes the dips(like hummus, baba ghanoush) and everything else as well. However the only dip that I actually enjoyed was the spicy feta because the hummus didn’t taste flavorful and the baba ghanoush tasted burnt. I would highly recommend getting the roasted eggplant which takes eggplant to another level and the couscous which has a really nice texture. The staff are very friendly and they make the pita fresh in front of you and each bowl comes with half a pita. I love how they are very veggie forward although their meat options especially the steak shawarma are juicy and seasoned very well. The portions here are great because you can customize your own bowl and ask for more or less of a certain topping.

A friend gave me a gift card, so even though I usually prefer CAVA, I thought I'd give Mezeh another try. I don't know what it is, but something about the concept bothers me. You take hot food, rice and chicken in my case, then smother it with cold salad items, and you wind up eating a lukewarm meal. It's not terrible, but I just feel like it could be better. I realize I'm nit-picking. The service was great, the young man behind the counter was very helpful, and even made suggestions. The food is flavorful and bold. The dining room was clean. Some music might be nice, maybe some Mediterranean music? I think next time I'll try the Lamb Hero.
