Edit to respond to the business' reply: The three buying options is accurate; however, you seemed to be the only one in the building that knew the high tops scattered around the general admission area were up for purchase. I would have purchased a table ahead of time if any were available on the site but the switcharoo right before the show was about to start showed poor organization and management. 1) The staff at the door checking tickets did not mention it 2) The waitress did not know we would have to pay for it 3) every other patron you had to talk to around us did not know it.
If you're just going here for dinner or a couple drinks it's probably a great place. The food was awesome and our server (Makayla) was fantastic. So why the poor review? Glad you asked because I'm going to tell you.
We bought tickets tonight to see The Amish Outlaws. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law were in town and it looked like a fun, unique thing to do. My mother-in-law fell and twisted her knee a couple days ago and my sister-in-law has cerebral palsy so we went a little early to make sure we could get a seat since only general admission was left when we bought tickets.
About 30 minutes before the band was about to come on, a female manager (Ashley...we could not get anyone to give us her last name) came over and informed us that we would have to pay $25 to keep our high top table we had ordered food at and were ordering drinks from.
This put such a sour taste in our mouth, we forfeited the $90 we paid for the tickets, cashed out our tab, and left. We made sure we let our server know that she was great and the only reason we were leaving was because no where on the Eventbrite site did it mention that we would have to pay $25 for a table in the general admission area. This was clearly a money grab and considering my mother-in-law's injury and my sister-in-law's handicap, really poor form.
Needless to say, we will not...
Read moreA large busy neighborly casual bar & grill with pool tables and weekly (free) poker. We came for the poker and the rockfish and had a great time! It's the size of a warehouse, with a large bar, around half a dozen pool tables, and many dining tables. It was busy and full of nice people enjoying themselves. It's not a quiet place. I live 30 min away, but i felt right at home as if all my neighbors and friends came with me! We loved the blackened rockfish, tasty and tender and juicy, with my favorite light level of spice. If you are into hotness, ask them to make it spicier. They have fried rockfish "fingers", too, which looked really good! All the pool tables were busy. The poker game was huge, maybe 60 players, and it was well-run. Most of the people seem experienced, and this is part of a national group so you register (for free) and there are (sensible) rules. I made it into the second round :-) Restrooms are clean, back in the corner on the left. Two things to note: there is lots of parking, but the closest spaces fill up. It was evening, so we parked by the closed bank right next door with no hassle. And the servers are really nice but understaffed. Reach out to them as they fly by and they will take good...
Read moreAs an avid pool player, such as myself, who takes billiards on a serious competitive level, this is NOT the place to practice nor shoot pool. I say this because the customers lack integrity, respect, and maturity towards the game of billiards.
Don't get me wrong, the food is great! The service I get from the waitress, Amanda is wonderful, couldn't ask for more from her, hence the 5 stars of service, which why I would only play if she's there.
Sadly and unfortunately, I will not return to this establishment, only because this isn't the place for avid, serious, competitive pool players, to practice.
If you want to party, to be affiliating with rude, inconsiderate, obnoxious customers there, have at it and have fun.
As for me, I am heading back to Brews and Cues, where people treat each with respect, dignity, with humbleness, and the upside of Brews & Cues, I can buy a meal, which taste just as good, if not better, and play/practice for free on clean Diamond tables, from 11a-5p, Thursday through Sunday.
You lost a good customer Sidelines..... Give Amanda a raise, because she...
