Starbucks — Restaurant in Maryland

This location is on the corn er between the gas station and the Safeway and then there's a little satellite Starbucks in the Safeway as well but this is a popular location that used to have outdoor seating and it no longer does and on top of that you have to go in the door closest to Safeway and you exit through the door that faces a gas station and you can't go in the door that faces a gas station because it doesn't have a handle on it and that's the exit door you're especially not going onto service services consistent there is no smile with your service like very matter of fact a little dry however superior to poor service generally there's two employees here you always find one working three times as hard as the other one who is hardly working so there you go three times a hardly working person does not a working person make however they're still working at least three times harder than their colleague who for some reason isn't it is apathetical about customers or the brand in general (allegedly). The the tables are clearly marked at their lobbyists presently closed and there's no seating available they have social distancing it is encouraged masks are encouraged the restroom is where you in the corner towards where you pick up your drinks from the bar where social distancing protocol is broken due to the fact that people are forced to congregate there by the exit door and the waste receptacle thus causing a bottleneck for people trying to get there completed beverage or product from the barista in the meantime you can't get to her from the bathroom without breaking social distance and guidelines and people on top of that at this moment or not caring very much everybody seems to break protocol to get their drink just letting you know if you attempt to hang out even though the store is no empty there's no work to be done no customers to help I was attempting to straighten out my gear on an empty table I'm very few items nothing major It was only going to take maybe another minute before I was harassed from a barista that the lobby was closed and I needed to vacate the premises immediately even though I'm standing there with my drink in my hand and I'm waiting for my wife to respond to a text for the drink that she wants me to get for her that was not an acceptable reason to stand in the lobby I could go outside and wait for the text so I left... ...And, went to the satellite Starbucks inside Safeway where I got everything and more I got friendly courteous service I got somebody who was eager and and cheaper and just totally opposite the experience I just had of being dry this was just dripping with pleasantries It wasn't over sweet and sick it was just perfect so bless the heart of the barista who was running the Safeway satellite Starbucks that Sunday afternoon after Easter 2021 Bless Your Heart. Having a tough time processing the interaction I witnessed that an employee had with a customer. The customer was very polite and explained that he was traveling and that a Starbucks up the road gave him the wrong drink, and asked if this Starbucks could make the correct one for him. The barista didn’t know how to respond so she turned to her, supervisor? He was very blunt and forceful with his answer and said something like, “we don’t do that here, you’ll have to go back to the Starbucks you got the drink from”. The customer stated that they weren’t going to be driving back in the other direction just for that, and that it shouldn’t matter, and that it’s all Starbucks. What I found odd was the “supervisor “ said that this was a private Starbucks and that the customer was welcome to try any other one but this one. I’ve never heard of a private Starbucks lol. Anyways, they refused to help the customer who then left visibly frustrated. I guess the point of this review is that employees are visibly afraid of their supervisor, and the supervisor basically intimidated a customer out of their store who...

This is by far my favorite Starbucks Cafe around the area. I've been to several Starbucks Cafe's around the area including the one next to Giant, Kentlands, and the one at Milestone Plaza. Not one of them compared to the dedication that this crew at this location has shown me.

I would like to say this because at the other locations i've metioned. I have been waved away at 10 til the closing hour. Not to mention that the coffee I get there was very bitter.

At the Starbucks at the Germantown Town Center, I would just like to mention that not only did he flag me in at the very last minute, he even remembered what I usually get. I have only been going at this location a handful of times and I'm so amazed that they can remember what I get already. He was very courteous and pleasant. The coffee he made was awesome because I had a four hour trip to make back to my family in Va Beach, Va. Thanks for helping me on my journey.
