Wow. Completely and utterly floored. Left the gym with my boyfriend and were so excited to get some food at Choice in whalers knowing the Lahaina location is closed being I go to either at least twice a week. After looking at the menu we decide on two tempeh wraps and a Powabunga. The male comes over and then tries explaining that they aren’t making anything, all what is available is the refrigerated meals (that have been sitting in there all day, and as a regular I can say all of it is NOT worth the price - unlike the açaí bowls and Caesar wrap.) my boyfriend tries to order something and he says “no we stop making those to close up shop”. I point out isn’t closing time in 2 hours? He says yes. I ask what time does this “closing” happen where 90% of the menu is unavailable - he says 7. I look at my phone and it’s 7:04, almost begging to please just give me food - I am hangry! Not to mention if he wants to pull out times to the minute - We clearly got there before the 7pm “close” and he refused to just make us a wrap. How on earth would the owner feel knowing his worker is too lazy to help 2 costumers that spend 60$ a week at either location? I am writing this in hopes it reaches upper management and they can train their employees to be KIND. Especially since he was just standing there in the back doing nothing to “close” anything. What an...
Read moreActually I was at the one in Lahaina, talking to the guy since I'm a culinary chef, and the disabled person, with invisible injuries. So I just thought just like last time I had my wooden token. So I thought I'd get a shot of something good talk story maybe in the future if there might be an opening. I'm also have a safe serve a 91%. I also cook for vegans vegetarians or carnivores working at the University of Santa Cruz California. And I was basic first aid and CPR training certified. certifications It's never about the money It's always about the quality than quantity and coming up with something special just like they had before I'm a creative sushi chef also thinking about okay a vegetable wrap tofu roll kind of like with blanched cabbage leaves thinking something like couscous instead of rice No 🌾 using possibly like tapioca rice wine vinegar with the couscous as a binder. Everything's in motion. My mind is like a menu. Working at some of the best universities doing industrial cooking for vegans vegetarians or carnivores. Just trying to get back...
Read moreI came here for an early morning juice. I was grateful they had a buy one get one 50% off deal - really any dream for a juice shop is appreciated. There were three people ahead of me so I was concerned it would take a while to be served but it only took a few minutes! So the service was fast. They had plenty of juice options. I got two green juices and was impressed. Often the healthier green options can be bitter or intense, these were very drinkable. The one thing I didn't quite like were the heavy glass bottles - they of course offer a $1 token if you return them - but who's going to do that? I'd prefer a normal plastic or glass bottle. But overall, I would be happy...
