I dislike writing negative reviews but have no choice given the dining experience this evening. I along with 4 others arrived at the restaurant at 6:30 and were promptly seated. Unfortunately we were seated in close proximity to the live music. The musicians and music were good but the volume precluded having much conversation. We ordered drinks and queso fundido with chorizo as an appetizer. We comented on the volume and our server said she would ask them to turn the volume down a little. I noted that the table behind us requested to be moved farther away. I should have followed their lead. About 10 minutes later we ordered entre's. Shortly thereafter the queso fundido was delivered. The server noted it only came with 4 tortillas and said she would get us more. We had barely started serving the queso fundido when our entre's were delivered. One of the entre's was fajitas. The rice, beans, tortillas etc were delivered but not the fajita meat. It was delivered a couple minutes later. 2 of the entre's were flautas and both people having them said they were lackluster and not remarkable. About 10 minutes later the server brought the additional tortillas for the appetizer. The server was not attentive to the drinks and the glasses sat empty until the entre's were finished. I believe the served was working more tables than she or most servers could handle. This was my first visit to this particular Christina's. I have been to four other locations in the metroplex and have never been...
Read moreWe have been loyal customers of Cristinaâs during the shutdown of restaurants, doing curbside many times, and went to Christinaâs before that several times. During these hard times, youâd think they would want to create goodwill with their customers. That sure wasnât the case tonight. I love their cheese enchiladas and ALWAYS ask for onions. When we ordered tonight for pick-up, we specifically asked for onions, as usual. When we picked it up, I asked again ânow there are onions, right?â and the guy assured me the enchiladas had them. Well, when I ate them, there was not one onion! So I called and supposedly talked to a manager. All he did was apologize and tell me to tell the server to write onions on the order next time. I asked how many times I had to do that. I told him this has happened several times. We ask for onions but donât get them. He didnât seem to care, and didnât offer to rectify it. I wasnât ugly, but I said maybe I need to find a new Mexican food restaurant. He just apologized again. Thatâs all. Itâs just not that hard to put onions in, people! Neither is it hard to treat a customer like they are valued. But I guess Cristinaâs has more than...
Read moreUnfortunately I have to give a lower review. I have always enjoyed the food and drinks at Cristina's, especially the salsa, but literally the last three times now the service has been terrible. From argumentative to accusatory servers anytime something is wrong, heaven forbid, because its obviously your fault not theirs. I will say every female server we've had has been great but for some reason every guy we get seems to have an attitude problem. I understand that management may have their hands full as there is a lot going on during dinnertime yet I feel that the servers are given too much leeway. I literally had a wadded up receipt and God knows what else at the bottom of my margarita and didn't even notice til I was half way finished and then confronted about it like I was the one who put it there. Everything declined after that. The server became snarky and began to talk down to me as if I was the problem until I just had enough and left. All we wanted was a good meal with the family. Not to scam someone out of a stupid margarita. Unfortunately I've always been a loyal customer to Cristina's but after tonight and the last two visits I now have to find a new...
