I was really sad about this place. Some of the best Pho I’ve ever had, but terrible service. I’m not saying this as some grumpy old man or a Karen. I have a pretty low standard for the service industry nowadays, since it’s not easy, but this was a new low. When we walked in, it was completely empty with two women talking. They stopped and gave us a rude stare as if we were interrupting something. We (Adult, teenager, and toddler) asked if we could sit in a certain booth, but the older blonde woman told us that we have to sit in the smaller booth. Somewhat understandable I guess. We both felt intimidated by her. Even when we tried to be nice and friendly, she seemed annoyed. Both me and my mom ordered the eye round steak Pho with extra onions and a side of rice for the toddler. Also, since it’s a toddler, she ordered a bowl for him to put it in because its on a plate. Once again, the server was annoyed just because she asked for a bowl. When we actually got our food and the bowl, my mom casually asked for a bigger bowl (not in a rude way I swear). She was interrupted by the server refusing, saying that she already brought a bowl. So then she went to the back, leaving us with no drinks or anything. We ended up asking the people at the front for a lot of things because she wasn’t coming back. After I started eating, I noticed that she gave us the wrong meat. When we actually said something, she gaslit us into thinking we ordered this other type of meat, and said we couldn’t get our money back. I would understand if it was cheap, but it was far from that. I decided to mention how rude shes been to me and in return she snapped on me and started talking bad about us to the other staff members (in front of me). There are some good servers there, but most of the times I’ve come in I’ve gotten her and shes...
Read moreI had ordered Pad Thai at this restaurant and it was absolutely not Pad Thai that they served me. I have had Pad Thai numerous times since I was 7 years old (now 24), as it is one of my favorite dishes, and what they served me was a completely different Singaporean dish that resembled absolutely nothing like Pad Thai in taste or appearance. I mentioned this to three workers there and all of them lied to my face, confirming the dish is indeed "Pad Thai" and all of them "worked like a team" to ensure this lie was carried through. As a Filipino, I am highly disappointed in this fellow Asian establishment and, although this is my first time visiting, this will be my absolute last. I will not pay to be smiled at and lied to. A frightful insensitivity to basic human ethic, over $12? Also, according to the reviews and my experience, it does seem the servers of this location tend to treat minorities differently than other people groups. I noticed the three out of the four tables dining there, we were the only minority group. I have never seen that at an Asian ran establishment. Which was telling to me. Although, it may have been simply the day we came in. But my parents have been to this place multiple times and noticed a similar pattern. Either way, I was lied to my face by the whole restaurant crew essentially, although I could see right through what they were doing and they did not make any efforts to rectify the situation. It was obvious to me by how I was treated that they do not want my business. That is fine, there are other establishments who serve this kind of food as well. I will never...
Read moreServer was rude Counter staff was rude Rude = we feel like getting seated made us indecisive about eating here. And then......
Once we did order, the server went back into the kitchen and then came out talking loudly and laughing with another counter staff. A customer walked past them and then sat by us ... looked at us directly and giggled and then turned away. At the same time the cook came out of the kitchen and folded his arms and stared at us! Once the food arrived, we asked for more Thai basil only to be told they had no more.
How many coincidences need to happen before it's no longer "just me"? Read the other reviews... it's not.
When my partner confronted the counter staff with our concerns, she was told that there was no manager or owner to talk to, and that he didn't understand why she was upset.
We had to pay for food that was cold. Pay for food she was afraid to eat because of the way the staff treated her, And I guarantee we will NEVER be back.
Note that this is not the first experience we've had here like this, this is just the first post about it. It's actually the 3rd time. 3 strike and you are out Pho place!!!
Kindness doesn't cost extra. Courtesy and politeness doesn't cost extra. Good service doesn't cost extra.
But making your customers feel horrible about eating in your restaurant will absolutely cost you future revenue! (At...
