Just wow. Had to post this review after the HORRIBLE experience I had there two weeks ago. We stopped in for lunch at about 2:00pm (definitely not rush time) and ordered a package of 12 street tacos (no onions/cilantro) and a large quesadilla (no pico) so I could have some lunch and bring home the leftovers. When we ordered the woman at the register was rude and barely paid attention to us, we took our seats and proceeded to wait. and wait. and wait.
After 10 minutes (and seeing other people getting served, even one person who ordered after us) my husband stands up and asks if our food will be ready soon. They say yes. At 15 minutes we're starving, and we are WATCHING them fill order after order at the drive thru with NO ONE prepping our food. At 20 minutes we stand up to leave and as we walk up to the register to get a refund they thrust our food into our hands in a to-go bag.
We are already mad and walk out to the car because we had not wanted to sit there for 20 minutes when I lean down I smell onions SO strong. I open up the food and sure enough the street tacos are COVERED in onions and cilantro, I open the quesadilla and it's covered in pico. My husband storms back in and demands a refund, the person at the register (don't know if it was the manager) argues that we should just wait for them to remake it, and THEN when my husband demands a refund he refunds everything BUT our drinks. So freaking tacky.
I called their customer service number on the receipt and file a complaint and get a call back from a very apologetic general manager who assures me he'll make it right and send us $30 in gift cards so we come back. This week we got a letter in the mail from them apologizing with not gift cards, but 5 coupons for $5.99 off the purchase of an entree, one coupon per visit, have to purchase more than one entree. Seriously? Could they be any more trashy? I absolutely love their food here and always eat here when I want to "be bad" on my healthy eating, but I am done. Read moreAbsolute worst fast food place I've ever been to. I am not one to leave reviews but this place is SOOOO BAD!!! I ordered a curb side order about 6 months ago ago. No one would answer the phone to bring the food out and I had a sleeping baby in the car. I pulled through the drive through because there were NO other cars in the drive through line. When I got up to the speaker I was told I would have to come inside instead of just handing me my food through the window of the drive through, or instead of curbside like I had originally ordered because of my sleeping baby I did not want to disturb. I had to wake my baby up to go inside just to have to wait for an additional 8 minutes past my pick up time. There was one patron in the restaurant... 2 weeks ago I decided to give them one last shot. I ordered my food before leaving my house (it takes 20min to get to this location) and I knew my baby would be asleep again because he always falls asleep around that time and in the car. Same thing, no answer on the phone... I pulled through the driveway again and was behind one car which I sat behind for 9min for them to get a small bag (not a big order) and drive off. When I pulled up they acted annoyed and handed me a diet Dr Pepper when I ordered a regular. I proceeded to wait an additional 11 minutes for my kids bean taco and 1 breakfast burrito. I will NEVER waste my time again and honestly whoever is running this place should be fired immediately. I am in the service industry and it is just completely unacceptable on all accounts. Read moreAfter a long while of avoiding Taco Cabana due to their service, we gave it another try today around 5pm because I did enjoy their food before, but nothing has changed. As my daughter and I walked up to the counter, I could tell there was a hesitation by the staff as to who drew the short straw and had to come to the counter for the only customers in the place. The young man who drew the short straw ambled up to the register without a word and just stood there dead-eyed looking at us until I decided to say hello before placing our order. We were given a table number but then they just shout out the number when ready so we had to go up and get it ( I remember when they brought it to your table, hence the table numbers). I go to get my food but I need some condiments also, and now I have to struggle for a few moments to get someone's attention to get some salsa. The self-serve salsa bar is a big loss for this place. Anyway, on this trip it wasn't the food that left a bad taste, but it was the service. I will not be back and as you can see in the recent reviews, many people are making the same decision about TC. I see the cookie-cutter responses to these reviews indicating the poor reviews are being shared with management but nothing seems to change. I don't see this location open long-term.
