This Texas de Brazil location did not live up to locations in other cities I have been to in the past. First off there were servers standing around all telling us they will be right with us. There were clearly open seats they could have sat us at quickly without an issue since it is a buffet. However, they waited until the manager got my number into the computer system to assign a seat. Which would of been ok if it did not take them like 5-10 minutes of standing there with 5 servers standing around that could of attended to us instead of all separately informing us they will be right with us. I am gluten free and vegan, so I got the lunch salad bar only option. The salad was good with lots of vegetables. The signs could have told ingredients inside the dishes in the hot bar or allergy warnings at least. The hot items on the salad bar were ok, but could have been better. The rice was a bit crunchy and not in a good way. The beans could have been better, and I found out after I ate them that they were not gluten free or vegan. The beans are cooked with meat products/Worcester sauce that has anchovies in it. In addition, the sautéed mushrooms have milk & gluten which is ridiculous. There is no need for either of those things to be in sautéed mushrooms. I really should have looked more closely at the allergy menu before eating here. My stomach was off for almost a week after this meal, and now I know why. Overall the food had good flavor and the veggies were fresh on the salad bar. They missed the mark on not providing allergy warnings on the signs, crunchy rice, having milk/gluten in items that usually don’t, and unusual waiting to be seated when it’s a buffet. They also state on website to ask for pineapple dessert that’s roasted, but they claim no dessert is included in the buffet price. They also said the pineapple on the buffet was the roasted pineapple, but it did not seem roasted.

Well. Let down. Had reservations, was seated in nice back table like we prefer. Had high expectations, as the one I went to in Birmingham AL few years ago was awesome. This one in Memphis lacked everything compared to Bham (or my memory of great is blurred from bham). The salad bar was ok, but lacked labels of items that aren't necessarily obvious (i.e. no labels on salad dressings to know what flavor). The hot items, such as lobster bisque, was bare minimum so passed on that. Once at table with salad bar items, the meats started coming. Service there was good. What wasn't good, is what you would expect to be good, the meats. None of them were desirable. I can eat medium, medium rare, no problem. The problem was the cuts of meat were of poor quality. For example, the bacon wrap filet mignon tasted like a piece of tennis ball. I have filet all the time, and there is no way that was filet or it was the lowest grade quality. I even dismissed the first, thinking I got a bad cut by accident. Nope. #2 filet was just as terrible. The best taste and texture was the sausage. Now you know that's bad if sausage bypasses filet, prime Rib, lamb, etc. Do yourself a favor, save another $50 to $75 up and go to Ruth Chris (about $125+/- a person) and enjoy a real meal, cooked well and to perfection of high quality and service. Also, server was nice but not good, tipped her, but not my normal awesome tip.... overall disappointed.

An upscale chain- all you can eat type steakhouse. We gathered for lunch on a chilly Sunday. We reserved earlier. The place was quite packed. The inside was cozy, and laid back. The servers were cool and the hospitality was great at the beginning. However, it went downgraded towards the end!! The salad bar was incredible. It had a huge collection of stuff. The ingredients were very good, and extremely fresh. The lobster bisque soup, Brazilian beans, cheesy potato, smoked salmon, etc everything was terrific. Once you turn the indicators ( small paper pieces kept in front of individual- green/ red indicating that you want more meat service or not) on, the freshly grilled meats will start arriving from kitchen. The servers brought them from the kitchen time to time and served across the tables. They served bacon wrapped chicken, which I found a bit too salty. Chicken Parmesan was a big chunk of chicken with Parmesan crust on top. There was a couple of different types of pork- most of them were a bit hard. Then they had a varieties of steak- grilled to medium rare. A lot of food for sure. I was more than full and had to stop eating after a while. If you love to eat meat and can eat a lot, this would be a great place for you. Overall, the spread was definitely good. But not exquisite, or particularly fancy.

Don't go here!!! TEXAS DE BRAZIL IS VERY Mediocre! This will be my first and last time going here! The service is trash with the select of a few meat servers! I took my father out to eat here for his birthday. And right off the bat, the plates were wet and some of them plates were dirty. I expected better from a high end restaurant! Then, the bacon was burnt in the salad area. The pink salmon wasn't cooked. The jasmine rice was plain. The au gratin potatoes tasted plain and the oil tasted old they cooked em in. The only thing enjoyed I enjoyed at the salad bar was the goat cheese, salami, and shrimp salad. All the stuff I could have bought from the store. Everything else was trash at the salad bar. So, not worth the $33 if you just paying for the salad bar! They also was missing things off the menu at the salad bar! I personally paid for the full dinner. And even I was disappointed with the meat they was bringing out! The leg of lamb was dry with no seasoning. The filet mignon was dry. The steak was dry. The only thing that was good was the beef ribs and the chicken wrapped bacon. And they only brought out one pallet of garlic mashed potatoes and fried bananas! Then, the host told us at the last minute after we ate at the salad bar and everything that lamp chops were taken off the menu. You have to pay extra for it! Like, he could have told us that beforehand, because thats the main thing I came here for. They didn't even take it down off their menu on their website! They shiesty for that! Now, im finna speak on the service. The service coming from the host was bad! The meat servers was cool! But the host wasn't that great! He refilled our waters with plain warm water. No ice or anything! He wasn't too attentive to me or my family. When it was time to pay, I paid for my daddy's meal and mines and used their first order $20 coupon. He looks like he was irritated. I was paying with my debit card and he had me sign. And he gone say, how much you pay for gratitude? I wrote down, $5. Then he gone tell me, "your bill is a 110 and $5 is all you want to pay for gratitude." Like, the audacity! This white guy so entitled! I should have told him naw, I'll pay 0$ since he want to be ungrateful. But, I didn't. I kept my composer. Shoot, I could have gave that $5 to the homeless guy who ask me how I was doing outside of the restaurant instead of him. He had a much better attitude and would been much more appreciative than this damn entitled host! Like, dude your service wasn't that great and you expect me to pay a 18% tip to you. Hell no! I'll never come back here again! So many people bragged about this place, only to find out it was trash. I could have went to so many different cheaper restaurant in Memphis where the food would have been better for so much cheaper with much more food!...

I wanted to reach out and inform this company of the awful experience I had Saturday, October 15th 2022. The Texas De Brazil in Memphis Tennessee ruined my birthday! I booked the reservation a week in advance for 12 people for a birthday dinner. The day of the reservation I got a message 10 minutes before my reservation time (5pm) telling me that my table was ready. I confirmed I was on the way and walked through the doors at 5pm on the dot. Regardless of the message that the table was ready, we were still forced to stand and wait 20 minutes for a table to be ready. I’m guessing they gave my table away. My mother who is handicapped, was not accommodated for, and also had to stand to wait. Once we were seated, the waiter did not introduce himself, he didn’t explain how the dinner works (many guests in my party were first timers, though I’ve been there many times and spent many birthdays with you guys). He did not ask us for our drink orders. We had to flag him down to tell him what we wanted to drink, and remind him multiple times to finally bring the drinks to us! We weren’t brought any of our side dishes until almost an hour in to our dinner (mashed potatoes and bananas). Once those were brought we also requested the cheese bread only to be told they didn’t have any! Why weren’t we told that in the beginning. The meat was very slow coming around and we didn’t get meat until after 45 minutes of eating salad bar. I requested lamb 4 times throughout the dinner to the waiter, the front, and 2 of the serves, and was not brought lamb until 2 hours after we were seated right before receiving the check! They were also out of beef ribs and lamb chops, but did NOT let us know beforehand so that we could choose if we wanted to dine or not. Thought we had booked the reservation for a birthday party, we had to ask twice for the little dessert and birthday song you guys offer. Our table spent well over $600 and you would think for that type of bill we would have been treated a little bit better! The experience was awful and completely ruined my birthday. We also complained at the property and were basically told sorry and no one did anything to resolve it. When I called today, I was hung up on 3 times as soon as I asked for a manager, and then they stopped answering the phone. This is so extremely unprofessional, and having spent so many birthdays and my anniversaries with you, I would have expected so much more. They took one look at my family and decided that we weren’t wealthy enough to be treated well. Someone needs to...

I recently posted a review of my visit here and we were SOOO disappointed 😞 We had just left the location in Detroit Michigan 4 days before, which was our 1st time eating at the restaurant chain, and it was GREAT!!! So great that we'd heard it was a location in Memphis, which is only 2hours away. We were all EXCITED so after work Friday, February 29th, we drove 2hours to eat here and just stayed the night in Memphis. OMG!!! We were SOOO DISAPPOINTED!!! They seated us early but once we set down all he'll broke loose. We got the food from the bar. Some burnt, food picked over, rice was sooo gummy that you had to beat the spoon on the pan to release it. We had to ask for the coins to turn over and silverware. By the time we got silverware, the food from the bar on our plates had gotten cold! Took an hour to get the sides that comes with your meal. We had to get the manager to get those. The waitress kept saying she didn't know why it was taking so long, but she brought sides to the table next to us, which was seated after us! I had to get the manager again because, even though we had the coins to turn over for the meats, they were not coming to our table. Finally when the started bringing the meats around, they were the same meats! We requested the lamb chops specifically because in Detroit OMG they were SOO good and flavorful. We got that alright! One serving and they were burt and the flavor was not satisfying AT ALLL! We asked for the manager a 3rd time to complain. He had the audacity to say that we were the only table complaining so he didn't understand what the problem was basically! REALLY!!!!! We have our own Catering business and we know how food supposed to taste. ESPECIALLY this food because we had just left your location in Detroit. My husband was telling this to the manager and he was telling him that maybe the service was off because of the time we were dining, which was like 8pm? The more my husband tried to make excuses for the reason the service could have been off, the more the manager kept harping on we were the only ones complaining! WOW!!! Even though we drove 2hours for piss poor service and food, we STILL tipped the waitress $50.00 and paid over $100.00 for food we DID NOT enjoy! Soooo we were not looking for ANYTHING free, we just wanted the manager to fix the problem or act like he...
