Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Memphis

Saturday 3/23/2025 at noon I was ordering at the window with my family. I admit that my accent is strong as a Hispanic but my English is understandable as you can read, same with is my husband and child. While we were ordering, the young man taking the order was rude until he yelled at me to go to the window. My husband asked me to go to the window since he was very angry because the guy yelled at me for nothing, according to what he didn't understand. At the window, the manager was waiting and told me that she needed us to order there because she couldn't understand. My husband asked her where the guy who yelled at me was. She said it was her and that no one had yelled. All this while a young man in front of her tried to look busy preparing a drink. We told her no, that it was a man's kick, not a woman's, that yelled at me. My husband got very angry and she still kept saying no. I advise you not to go, not just the Hispanic community, do not attend because we will be discriminated against. But also to mothers so they don't yell at them in front of their children. Or to wives so their husbands don't have to put themselves in the embarrassing situation of having to defend them in front of a cowardly stranger hiding behind a woman. Furthermore, this woman, as the manager who's supposed to resolve the incident, denied it in front of a client without even apologizing after such mistreatment, or even worse, discrimination. I went to Popeyes for someone and they wanted 2 of the surf and turf $5.00 specials. On the drive thru menu it states you can add a large drink to your meal for a $1.00. My order added up to over $14.00. I ask the lady who took my order why did it come up to that amount... She couldn't explain so I just said ok and proceeded to the window. I get up to the window, she hands me a small drink and I'm like the $1.00 drinks only come in small now and she said I was charge $1.99 per small drink 😒🤔 so this is why my order was higher than predicted. I knew the person I was ordering for would not have wanted a small drink for $2.00 so I ask her to take them off my order she said ok and left the window. Now another lady comes to the window, I'm assuming she's the manager. She was friendly and asked politely what was wrong and I explained about the charge for the drink and how on the drive thru menu it states with any meal you can add a large drink for a $1.00. NOW this is what did it for me right here, she saiddddd they don't do that at this location and they been meaning to have it removed from the menu. What the what! Out of all the Popeyes locations we have been too, I have never encountered this issue and if that was the case, why wasn't it explained at the window when I gave my order. Especially after I had to question the lady who took my order at the window about why my order is much higher... SMH...

Super slow service, accidentally used the wrong card and the purchase wouldn't process. I told them it was the wrong card and I had the other one in my hand to give them. Thsy told me i needed to pull around. I said OK and did so. Once getting to the speaker again the manager informed me I needed to come inside. I told her I could just reorder the same thing if that was the issue, and she very snappishly cut me off with, "ma'am, come inside." I said OK and pulled up to go inside. Still not sure why but at this point I'm just going with it. Upon entering the building I am not greeting, no one even looks my way or says anything, and I have to wait a solid 5 minutes before someone even notices me. Someone else has entered the establishment as well by this point. The young man at the counter takes me order, and tells me it'll be right out. I can hear the manager in the back barking at the window person and getting on the headset and cutting her off. Very unprofessional. The man leaves over the counter and confirms I was the one in DT that they asked to come inside. I confirm. He says they already had my order ready from when I was in DT and hands me the bag. When I'm confused about is if they already had the food ready, why could I not just...
