Wow, where to begin... been here plenty of times but last night was probably the last time, after arriving was told 30-40 minutes, no problem, waiting and was sat.. the waitress comes over and was a sweetheart explained that they were out of alot of items, 2 which we came for.. no problem, we ordered a appetizer and drinks and looked at the menu, after a couple minutes our waitress comes back and informs us she is being sent home and "Mo" is going to take over, no problem.. Out comes the appetizer, calamari , it was over cooked and the sauce was disgusting, out next comes the chili, no cheese or onions but a giant scoop of sour cream, which I never asked for, the chili was cold so I push it to the edge and waited for "Mo", a runner grabbed our dishes while cleaning a table, after waiting about 30 minutes "Mo" finally comes and introduced himself and then ran off, he went to the bar because his friends were there.. we are politely waiting for our entrees and "Mo" noticed another table of friends who's birthday it was. Oh did I mention my son and me were there celibating my birthday too?? No because I don't need free desserts.. After another 20 minutes of not being helped I was looking for anyone to figure out where my food was and here's comes "Mo", what did you guys still need he asks?? My entrees I replied he said oh my God it's been 45 minutes where is your food, uhm probably sitting in the window.. yup out came a medium well prime rib which I ordered medium rare, so I cut it up and start to eat it dipping a piece into the horseradish but I can't, because a giant piece of something hard was in it,, so I pick it out and it looks like a piece of meat but it purple in color, so I look for "mo" after 10 minutes he comes over and says oh no, I think that's coleslaw they get mixed sometimes.. are you kidding me!! Then he takes it and says let me get you another one, we'll after waiting another 10 minutes I just ate my overcooked food and asked for the check and a manager which I was told there wasn't one available.. So off to yelp to explain my wonderful story to anyone who wants to waste your hard earned money at this joke of a restaurant or maybe sit at the bar because that's who got all the attention from our server.. the other servers were doing a great job. Just not "Mo"... sorry Mo I don't think being a waiter is for you.. or maybe you just weren't trained right?? Thank you for the worst Birthday dinner and service ever Bj's Menifee. Maybe train your management at this facility a little better and have one there until close on weekends?? Updated*** Added a picture from email I received back from Rachel, she doesn't care and offered a $40 credit to go back for more crappy service and food. Shame on you BJ's.. go to red robin next door!!

It breaks my heart to write this review because i LOVE BJS and always have. I don't know what is up with this Menifee location though. I ordered a side of sweet potato fries last week and was charge $7.95 What I got was a less than half full container and they were still frozen inside. Now....things can happen. I totally get it. It was a pick up order so i immediately called the restaurant. The manager was "busy". OK. No problem. Left my name and number with them. I expected someone would call me the next day when they first open because maybe it was too busy at night. Nope. So I called in the afternoon again and was told that they already had my info and would call me. Did't even ask my name or number again. No call. I call back the following day. Again, manager is too busy right now. I leave my name and number again. Now here we are days later and I have not been able to get in contact with anyone which is disappointing because THAT IS WHY YOU ARE THE MANAGER...handle this kind of thing. I am not scary or mean, I just want to be treated fairly, as if I was there in person. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for decades, this is not great. Weak leadership only leads to worse problems down the line. To think that the management here is so weak that they refuse to return a call or handle a small issue just goes to show that they won't handle the REAL issues and that's bad news fo the chain. I would be embarrassed if this was how poorly I did my job. I also wouldn't be writing this review if this was the first time I have had an issue. This is just the final tipping point.

Visited for Father’s Day dinner today. They weren’t too busy but there was a wait time of 1 hour, which was due to COVID social distancing practices that they have in effect. It was very apparent that they were taking every precaution possible to ensure the health of their staff and their guests. The restaurants capacity has been reduced by half, and only allows service to a specifica number of tables, which are 6ft apart. When first arriving customers are asked to wait outside until called upon to be seated. They offer hand sanitizer in multiple locations through out the restaurant and encourage hand washing. All staff was required to wear face masks and to limit contact when able to. To further support the policy of reducing surface contacts, the menus have been replaced with a QR code, which you take a picture of with your cell phone. Once scanned, a link pops up and you then have the option of reviewing the menu and paying your bill. The steps being implemented by BJ is certainly a step in the right direction and is comforting to those guests who are concerned with cleanliness and distancing. On top of all that, we had a really great server named Cameron. He was very attentive and professional, and had a very upbeat personality. He was great all the way around and he even wished my husband Happy Father's Day, which was very thoughtful. Overall a great experience today and would highly recommend.

A Steady Decline in Quality and Service at BJ's in Menifee: A Patron's Disappointment

As a long-standing patron of BJ's restaurant in Menifee, it is with a heavy heart and a disappointed palate that I must pen this scathing review. Over the years, I have watched a restaurant that used to be a hallmark of quality and service deteriorate into a shadow of its former self. My recent experiences have been nothing short of appalling, and it's time to share my story with others who may be considering BJ's for their next meal out or takeout option.

The most glaring issues began a few months ago, specifically with their steak preparation. A steak ordered medium-rare should arrive at the table with a warm red center, indicative of careful cooking and attention to detail. Instead, the steaks have consistently arrived overcooked, lacking any semblance of the juiciness and flavor that steak aficionados seek. Cooking steak should be a basic skill for a kitchen of BJ's caliber, yet it seems to have become their Achilles' heel.

The decline doesn't stop at the main courses. Food that should be served piping hot has repeatedly arrived at the table with a chill that suggests it has been forgotten on the counter far too long. On more than one occasion, dishes we've ordered were never served at all, leaving us to wonder if they had been relegated to some culinary black hole within the kitchen.

The last three visits in particular have been a trifecta of dining disasters. Our most recent foray into BJ's takeout options was the final straw. Expecting to enjoy our meal in the comfort of our home, we were instead greeted by food so cold it could only have been served with a side of frostbite. A microwave rescue operation should not be part of the BJ's dining experience.

Complaints to the management have been met with a lackluster response. Rather than receiving a sincere apology and a commitment to improve, I was pacified with 2 free pazooki vouchers. While their pazookis are a delightful dessert, they are a poor substitute for genuine customer service and culinary competence.

Over the years, my loyalty to BJ's has been unwavering, with my patronage likely amounting to thousands of dollars. It's disheartening to realize that this loyalty has been repaid with a decline in the very elements that once made BJ's a favorite: quality food and exceptional service. It is with a sense of resignation that I must now reconsider where I choose to spend my money, as it has become painfully clear that BJ's in Menifee no longer values its customers nor upholds the standards it once did.

To those considering BJ's in Menifee, I offer this cautionary tale: seek your dining experiences elsewhere, unless you're in the market for disappointment and a side of the cold shoulder. It is my sincere hope that BJ's will take such feedback to heart and return to its former glory. Until then, I will be taking my appetite and my business to establishments that offer the respect and quality that every paying...

I really dislike leaving bad reviews but I dislike bad service even more! 2 stars is VERY generous!! Our server 'Madison' delivered our drinks & then it all went downhill. I asked for a cup of ice for my root beer delivered with no ice (I guess that's standard procedure) I was given the cup of ice & as I tried on my own to pour my drink into the other cup (with ice) it spilled all over the table & on the floor. I used my cloth napkin to clean up the mess on the table & told the sever about the mess on the floor. The server seemed in no hurry to clean this up & even passed by it without cleaning it up...to prevent an injury WE (THE CUSTOMER) ended up cleaning it !!! Finally when the server did come back we told her we cleaned it up (no thank you no acknowledgment..nothing) when we showed her the CLOTH napkin we used to clean up the mess & asked for another napkin I was given PAPER napkins (& mind u she did not pick up the dirty cloth napkin from the table until she was asked specifically to do so!). Then, we went to order...cheese curds (they were out of them). Ok fine..no appetizer then. We went to order dinner..my mother ordered a salad & was told "due to being short staffed salads weren't available as they didn't have someone that could make a salad). Seriously, It's a SALAD!!! I am not asking for a gourmet meal !!!! My cousin went to order Poke...nope that's not avail either !! Wow !!! By this time we ask sooo what is available??!!!??!! We FINALLY found something they were able to make for all of us. Our food was about the only thing decent.

As we were finishing, my table asked Madison for 1) a box 2) salt 3) ketchup 4) coffee 5) au jus. We had to ask for it all at once because she didn't come around often!! The coffee & the box were the only things delivered...her response was "sorry I didn't hear cuz it's kind of loud in here..what were your other requests??" If u didn't hear why didn't you ask for it to be repeated BEFORE you left the table the first time ???!! We had to ask for additional au jus THREE Times !!!!

Needless to say, I was not impressed with the service or lack there of & the availability of items or again lack there of. I really did enjoy BJs in the past but this is far from what...
