I am only giving this review these high 4 stars, and my rating is mainly due to the assistance I received from Leilani. Other than that, everyone else I interacted with was dismissive, unhelpful, and honestly, quite cruel. Several representatives had an attitude with me and while they were upset that I had an attitude in return i never cussed nor raised my voice but i was super frustrated im not the type of person to go off people i was just highly upset. Hereâs my story:
I placed a late pickup order at night for a gift that I needed the recipient to have by Friday.mind yâall THE ITEM IS IN STOCK AT THE STORE ! I am in Texas, and this was a gift I was sending to someone in California. Thatâs why I selected a store pickup order for the next day to ensure the person could pick it up on time. MIND YOU IT SAYS STORE PICKUP TAKES 2 HOURS or maybe more but definitely be ready the next day I have never in my life been treated like this at any Ulta in Texas.
The next morning, when I called to check on the status and see what time the order would be ready, I was told that my order wasnât even in the system. That immediately raised red flags and added to my stress. I knew the order had gone through because the money had already been taken out of my account. Still, I was passed around from representative to representative, and no one could tell me what was going on or why the order was not found
I contacted customer service multiple times and was repeatedly told, âI donât know,â with no real answers or effort to find a solution. At one point, I was gaslighted by a representative who insisted she had never spoken to me before even though I had someone in the car with me who clearly heard our earlier conversation, including her name. She told me the order would be ready in FIVE DAYS!!!! That same representative later contradicted herself and told me the order would now be ready in two hours instead of five days, which only added to the confusion.
Leilani was the only person who took the time to listen, showed empathy, and genuinely tried to help.I truly love people who love their job in the customer service field She eventually transferred me to her manager in hopes of getting more clarity. Unfortunately, the manager was extremely dismissive and simply repeated that the order would take five days offering no explanation or possible solutions. I explained how time sensitive this gift was and that I was willing to do anything to get it sooner, but no effort was made to help.
To make matters worse, every time I was transferred to the store manager directly or a higher up, they would pick up the line and immediately hang up on me. It felt like I was being intentionally ignored, which made the experience even more upsetting.
Learn from my mistake if youâre trying to send someone a gift in another state and need it quickly, just send them the money instead of placing a pickup order through Ulta. This experience has led me to prefer shopping through Sephoraâs online orders going forward, especially when ordering for someone who doesnât live in...
   Read moreIts almost been a month since my appointment. I came in for a signature hair cut, my husband told me to get it dyed if they have time because he will be home to pick up our daughter. So i asked the stylist if she had time, and really stretched that if she didn't have time i would book with her another time. I have a few peek a boo highlights in my hair already (they were over grown so needed them rebleached at the roots) i wanted more peek a boo highlights bleached and purple, and a split dye at the front. The stylist said she had time, I asked are you sure, i don't want to rush you. Anyways, she did that...spent majority of my time in the bowl, the smell of the dye smelled familar, it smells like arctic fox (i use it to dye the tips of my dogs ears). And when i came out to get it dried (finally) i saw ARCTIC FOX hairdye on the counter behind me. Omg no way she used that on me. The session is over, i get handed the bill....$250...yikes that's a lot...whatever i like it....go home and realize she didn't even get to the roots of my hair. I spent $250 for maybe 6 highlights?! And possibly ARCTIC FOX?! I kept getting compliments and let it go for a bit. But it still bothered me, did i really spend $250 on Arctic Fox? I finally called and asked did my stylist use Arctic Fox on my hair? I washed it once and it was ALL over my shower (That's probably why i sat in the bowl while she put the dye in my hair). One of the managers talked to a stylist and said yes, if we don't carry the color you want, the stylist will go to what we sell in store...so it is normal for stylist to use Arctic fox. If my stylist told me they didn't have the PROFESSIONAL color i wanted, i wouldn't have gotten my hair dyed there. My bill was for the signature haircut($67) and multi toned hairdye($97, with Arctic Fox, blue and purple)....that is seriously ridiculous. I'm not even sure what else she rang me up for. I stupidly gave her a $40 cash tip too. Definitely do...
   Read moreI would give even more stars if I could. I had made an appointment at the Ulta location in Temecula for both my hair and makeup. My husband and I were throwing a 10 year anniversary party at one of the amazing venues in Temecula. The systems went down , and I was very clear at the outset that I wasnât going to pay cash. I had Ulta gift cards etc. They texted me and said I could just sign a paper , that I can come back and pay with gift cards. A friend of mine was taking me to my appointment, and just as we were going there , they told me that their upper management wonât allow that. I was extremely upset because I wanted to look really nice for our special event. I called Ulta in Menifee and what a difference. They took most of my gift cards, except for one. I asked one of the managers if they could take one of them and they couldnât. This wasnât an Ulta gift card, it was a digital credit card. I donât know if she thought I was mad, but no quite the opposite. The ladies at Ulta at Menifee felt bad about what happened with respect to my appointment at the other location. Meegan did an awesome job on my makeup. My husband doesnât care for too much makeup and he liked the way Meegan did it. Yudith, did my hair was also great. Lynelle, who was the receptionist , was so nice as well! These girls stayed over , to do my hair and makeup, so I can look and feel my best. Everyone was just so nice and courteous. There is a very clear difference in management in this location, versus the other one, and itâs paying off. Thanks...
