Was excited to see this food truck at the Jeep Beach event in Daytona Beach FL earlier today. Decided to give it a shot. Walking up, another gentleman was frustrated and was stating that he had been waiting 25 minutes for his food. Disregarded this as I didn’t know full story and that there was not a line of people waiting for food to support that wait time.
Ordered a burger only (no fries). The younger guy working the till seemed pleasant enough. My partner paid and went to find a table and had the receipt in the bag while I stayed for the food to be ready.
Due to this being a food truck (with a generator) at a loud event, it was difficult to hear the order numbers yelled out. I asked if he said 224 or 225 (there seemed to be no order or rhyme to the numbers or how they came out of kitchen). The gentleman that took our order initially said it was 224. Myself and another woman said we both had #224. He told me that it was impossible for us to both have the same numbers and to look again. I told him the I was sure I was #224. He asked to see my receipt (which was not in reach). I stated the details of my order to which he handed me the #224 order stating that my “order was 225 and you [sic me] need to remember that next time”. Attitude and snark not necessary - I was just stating that my number provided on my ticket was #224 and the details of the order matched the order that was up (the other woman ordered something completely different and was handed it next).
At this point, I was frustrated. I brought the food back to the table where my partner was waiting. I asked for the receipt to triple check - yes, it said #224. However, it also said they charged me $6.00 for a side of fries (which were not asked for OR provided). So I brought the receipt with me back to the truck. I showed the gentleman the receipt stating I was order #224 and kindly asked for the fries since I couldn’t get a refund for the product I did not ask for. He was rather confused HOW I was able to have a duplicate number and did apologize and get me the fries.
While he apologized once I came back, it was rather frustrating that he was so rude and adamant that I was in the wrong in this situation. It’s understandable that it was warm outside and had been busy, but this would not the face to a business I would recommend using if he cannot...
Read moreBy far the most disrespectful business I have ever experienced. Employees here have the worst customer service skills. I picked up one order and ended up with onions all over my bag, phone and hand because of improper packing procedures. The bag was over full and so greasy it was broken open at bottom where I had to use both hands to support so it didn’t spill. I get two more request at this same restaurant and now wish I didn’t accept them. I showed the security my phone with both orders and he says he called out both and goes to grab them. I confirm both orders on my app. Out of nowhere comes a guy and tells me to confirm my order very aggressively. Both of which are already confirmed. So I tell him that he says “let me see” I try to show him then he yells at me “IM LOOKING AT A BLACK SCREEN” I opened my screen again to show him and told him that he didn’t even check anything because only one order is on the screen. Immediately the other staff member/cook start screaming “WELL THATS OUR POLICY IF YOU DONT LIKE IT YOU DONT HAVE TO COME HERE!” So I respond to her/him that I have over 1000 orders delivered and I know how to do my job. She tells me “you dashers steal food. The guy then yells at security “enrique!!! Close the door!!” Then tells me “were closed you’re not even supposed to be in here!” After he literally just told me to bring my screen closer inside for he can see better. Turning this whole thing into an episode. Totally unnecessary. They then refused me and about 10 other customers their food. They literally stole my customers order after I confirmed it. I just feel bad I caused the other customers any inconvenience. It is 4am and I’m sure them and my customers were hungry. Rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Never go to bad baby burger. I really think they were trying to provoke me to become violent. I haven’t been talk to like that since I was at basic training...
Read moreI am slightly disappointed in everything about our experience. We did come in right at opening, but the cashier and whomever came in on the bike at 12:06pm, were anything but happy to see us. We walked in after waiting about 35 min for them to open at about 11:56am (they have posted opening hours at 12/noon.) We received a greeting of "um were not open for a few more min and I still need to count my drawer." We replied we weren't really in a hurry. Now I know the lady had a bummed left hand, but it took over 20 min to count the drawer plus the 5 min on her phone texting whoever she had to text before she could even start counting. So now it's 12:20 p.m., and she kept telling us it's going to be another 20-30 min before we would get service. The excuse was there wasn't a cook for the grill. This was after telling us the same thing when we walked in. We gave up. The photos are over 4 years old and extremely misleading. The inside was dirty and nowhere as clean as the photos that are raved about in other posts. You can tell it's poorly run, and I agree with other reviews about a prime location with almost no standards. It's ironic that they have a sign inside that says, "IT SHOULDN'T TAKE 5 GUYS TO MAKE A CHEESEBURGER BABY!" Well, we went to 5 guys across the street, and obviously, it does take more than what they had employed at 12 pm!(3 people) We dodged a bullet!
I usually am not the one to leave a negative review, but this needs to be rectified by the owners. The place needs a little TLC on cleanliness and...
