It's an okay place but prices are expensive. There's no baklava by the weight, they only sell it by piece at $6. So about 1 lb baklava is around $72.
Quality wise, i think it's made in Turkey, so they probably ship it from Turkey. The ones i had weren't fresh. They had something we call "sekerlenme" which is crystalizing of sugar. It was more mushy than flaky.
This is quite pricey for what you get, especially if you want to have a take out and eat at home. Even if you buy it from Turkey it 1 kg(2lbs) costs around this much including 2 day shipping to US (I'm not comparing here local Turkish prices, I'm comparing even if you get all that hassle to bring over the product from Turkey it still costs cheaper than buying from this store including shipping)
I'd recommend this place to have a separate pricing for take out.
For dine in price, i still think it's a little bit expensive. Even at nusret 100g (havuc dilimi) baklava is $15. Some other restaurants like el turco sell 4 pcs baklava for $15.
Again I don't mind you charging $6 per piece but if someone wants to eat a little more than 2 pcs then price doesn't...

Read moreDefinitely a tourist trap. A piece of baklava is $6. It's a complete rip off!
It's not even baked there. It doesn't taste fresh. Soggy and mushy.
To give you an example, San Francisco city has a new baklava place called baklava story. A tray with 12 pieces of baklava weighing around 1 lb costs $25 and it's freshly baked. They use top quality pistachios and layers are as thin as good baklava places in Turkey.
If i got the same quantity of baklava it would probably cost me $60-70 here!
San Francisco cost of rent is 2x of Miami and cost of employment is also 2x.
This place is probably selling world's most expensive baklava that's not even baked daily in house.
My recommendation to the owners is to travel a little bit around the US and see what other Turkish baklava stores are operating and pricing. I wish and hope that you'll bake fresh baklava in house with...
