Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Miami Township

I used to love this Jimmy Johns location. I also understand with the pandemic no business has gone without stress but with that being said there’s a reason for the 1 star. I placed an order 4/22/2021 for my roommate and I. After an hour of waiting for my order to arrive I finally called the store to ask for a refund. The taste for it had turned sour. I needed the funds back so I could order something for our, now, very late lunch. I made the mistake of not asking for the associates name but was told that my order was canceled and would be refunded. This was not the case. Upon checking my account the following day it was deducted $29.30. I immediately called and spoke with the manager Travis. I applaud Travis and his professionalism as he was limited within his position and did the best he could. He explained to me the order had not been canceled the previous day and the refund now had to be handled by the District Manager. I spoke with Travis 3 times in regards to this refund over a course of 2 weeks. Each time he assured me the message was delivered. Which I believe him! It’s been 2 weeks since Jimmy John’s has “stolen” my money in my eyes. As I paid for a service that was not provided. I have refused to order from this location because of this incident. I’m addition, I had to dispute the charge with my bank to get my money back. Which is down right ridiculous! Such a little problem should have been addressed head on and in a timely manner once passed on to a district manager. Do better...

Love their sandwiches, and the fast service. I am also impressed with their ability to get the order right - they very rarely make a mistake on the specific toppings and customization that I've ordered. Much better at that than most restaurants - even with their rapid speed of preparation. I love the "Vito", an Italian sub, and I like to add the peppers for a spicy, acid bite. I get either the standard "french" bread (baked fresh daily), or the "Unwich" lettuce - wrapped version, for a lighter choice. Tons of options to customize your sandwich mean there's something for everyone. Their normal delivery service is also fast, if you can get it where you are. Pre-covid, I tolerated not being able to get it delivered to my house, 3 miles from the store. Now, I order with free delivery from many other restaurants ( fast casual, fast food, and sit down options) that have to drive a few miles to drive past the Jimmy John's store. I am bothered quite a bit that a restaurant that already had a good delivery system refuses to adjust at all, while others that had nothing have managed to make it work. It's just my opinion, but - you could adapt just a little, to help the rest of us out in the current world. If I didn't have to go pick it up, I'd be having JJ's much more often. Horrible, laid my sandwich on the cabinet not even in a bag. Didn't tell me my food was ready. They make u pay first. So I waited and waited while two other people behind me got their food. I walked up and asked the cashier where is my sandwich? He pointed and said over there. I said well why didn't you tell me it was ready. He just stared at me without saying anything. So i walked to go get my own sandwich. And then I said can u put my food in a bag. He said get your bag your self, while pointing at the bags. Very prejudice vibes for me. The other people stuff they bagged were white. I do not plan on ever going back. On the way out the store my son said where are the napkins, the cashier and the other worker just stared at him, without telling us where the napkins were. This just happened today about 15min ago.
