I'm always happy to see a new gun store open up but this one has been a disappointment from the beginning! They use their newness and size too attract people or somehow justify their high prices on almost everything they sell. Then, they've created a history of not very good customer service and even upsetting lots of customers or potential ones. They are very much obsessed with doing things THEIR way and their scapegoat is always that it's just part of our policies and rules. I guess they fail to realize that other places don't have these restrictive, or expensive policies so that's probably why so many people choose to shop elsewhere. Now the big one they just changed their name again! Really?? Do you think we forgot that you started out with one name and then changed it and now you're changing it to the third name!! I find this absolutely ridiculous. Either put more thought into a name to begin with to solve any possible objections that may be there that you just haven't seen yet, or don't be so fickle wanting to try something new all the time.... Or is it simply they think the name change will help bring in more customers because of the bad publicity and word of mouth their current name has garnered. I certainly don't think this was the case from the first name change as they weren't open that long with it when they decided to change it. I guess with all the extra money they're making from not having good prices on firearms will pay for the money to switch to the new signs. The Dayton area has always been a very price focused area with consumers. I appreciate this. I don't see why anyone would buy anything, especially slightly larger and less frequent purchases like firearms unless they were at the absolute lowest price at least in the area. Most stores get this. They will have a sale on something or somethings and those prices will be the cheapest you're going to get those items for in the area. The people that want something else or don't want to wait until something cycles around to being on sale pay more but at this location even when they have sales or featured emails on firearms you can always get those same firearms somewhere else at a...

This business is NOT LEO-friendly in the slightest. I strongly encourage LEO to go somewhere else. The policies of this business make it not friendly to LEO. The policies have forced me to NEVER come here again and advocate against buying anything from Range.USA
I attempted to buy a weapon from this business, but my driver's license (Ohio) has a different address than where I live. This is due to my work. A simple fix to this is you buy a fishing license, which I have. A fishing license in Ohio qualifies as a state-issued ID, along with your state issued driver's license.
Range.USA policy is this fishing license has to be bought within 90 days of you attempting to buy a weapon. Well mine was outside that 90-day window and I was unable to renew it due to the Ohio Department of Wild Life Policy being you can only renew your fishing license within 30 days before it expires.
A solution was offered to buy a shooting pass from the Ohio Department of Wild Life. So I did. I bought a $5 day pass. The clerk explained I have to buy a year shooting pass for $35. I said ok and started to buy the $35 pass.
Then the clerk explained after I buy the year shooting pass I have to wait 48 hours to buy the weapon I want. This is done to prove I live in Ohio.
I don't know how long this has been the policy of Range.USA ( Shoot Point Blank) as I have bought at least 2 weapons in the last 5 yrs from them, when it was Shoot Point Blank.
I drove to Cabela and bought the pistol I wanted, with my driver's license and my 10mth old fishing license without issue. Cabelas also had way better deals...
Read moreThis review only has 2 stars because I really like Ronnie and Damien. There are a few other young guys that a good, and good at their jobs. They are helpful and professional, and probably deserve a raise. I’ve been a member for around 2 years and used to really enjoy going to this range. This location used to have a really good staff. My main problem with this place is for the last 6-8 months there has been literally no point to being a member. I’ve stood in the member line and watched large groups keep getting called ahead of us from the regular line. This especially happens when Richard S. Is working the counter the first few times this happened I brushed it off, but it’s a pretty regular thing now. 2 weekends ago I was about ready to cancel my membership. We stood in the members line for 30 minutes while Richard kept calling people out of the regular line, even people who got there much much after we did. I said something to Richard about it when we got up to the counter, and asked him if members still get called at a priority. He just copped an attitude with me, and had some random excuse for why we weren’t called. Today we went to shoot, and same thing, people in the regular line kept getting called ahead of us and other members. My other problem is that I feel like some range safety’s don’t pay attention to what is going on, there have been times where there are people firing hitting the ceiling, or turn around in the stalls with a loaded gun and the safety isn’t there, or doesn’t notice. At this point if there were any other range option close by, I don’t know if I would continue to be a member...
