Dear Casa Tua Management,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding my recents visits to your restaurant on 09/27/2024. As a regular customer who has always enjoyed both the food and service at your establishment, I was disappointed with the customer service I received during my last visits.
While I understand that things can get disappointing for our staff in slow season, the level of attentiveness and courtesy from the staff was not up to the high standard that I’ve come to expect from your restaurant. I work in hospitality, and even if I know budgets and prices are shorter every time, I try to make my guests happy as they are paying for a high quality service, no matter how much. We frequently go for dinner, or coffee when we usually try different pastries. Last time we were in Casa Tua from Brickell, that is our frequent spot as we live close by, and the female server was lovely, but our order taking was delayed because there were other people around that were ordering more than us, so they were a priority where we became invisible. Of course, we understood if that was the situation due to a busy day, but the order taking was delayed for about 15 minutes, the order arrived also late, and when we wanted to get the billing to get going, our server was very distracted with her manager and it took up to 20 minutes to get the bill, to the point I had to stand up to request it and pay by the desk. Today, 09/27, we waited for a table for 2, and once the server came to take the order, we were going to have 2 lattes, an apple butterfly and an orange cruffin, and as soon as we told him what we would order he rolled his eyes, and left. I felt pretty embarrassed, and my husband felt like he was being disrespected. That is why we decided to find some other place to have our coffee, and I apologized to the server and told him not to run the order as we were not going to stay, regardless of his disrespect I am a respectful person and I wanted to keep my manners and him out of trouble. I value your restaurant and the positive experiences I’ve had in the past, which is why I wanted to bring this to your attention. I didn’t even request or read the names of your servers, because my intention is not getting them in trouble. We love the quality of your products, and that’s why we went back after the previous time, but today I went to have a coffee with some pastries and left with a horrible feeling, as if I was the one doing the wrong thing.
I am not looking for any compensation. I hope you could read me, in order to prevent this happening to anybody else in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to address this matter, and I look forward to continuing to enjoy your establishment in the...
Read moreIt's a good Italian option when going to the shops, but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here. Really large food and drinks menu, very easy going. Good pizza. The pasta, despite emphasizing al dente, was overcooked, and the sauce was not properly mixed. We threw away half of it. The music is loud and monotonous after a while, kind of stressful tempo. Despite the sign saying they don't allow dogs, there were a few in the middle of the aisles (but everyone has a "service" dog now days). The people were really friendly and the service was good, but not surprising with how much staff were just standing around. The tables are all communal. The high tops are not wide enough to allow two people across from each other to comfortably eat. The prices were fine, to be expected for Miami. But here's the reason I would not enthusiastically go back... I know it's best not to see what goes on in the kitchens at any restaurant... but here, all of the kitchens are open, and I wish employees would remember that they are in direct eyesight of customers. After eating half of my pizza, I watched as the girl who had prepared it... licked and chewed on her gloved fingertips. Then, she proceeded to prepare more pizzas without changing her gloves or washing her hands. I watched a second employee also touching her mouth with her gloved hands. Then the first employee delivered a pizza to a table, came back to the pizza station, and started rubbing her eyes. Then the second employee fixed her hair while the first finally removed her glove to better clean her eye... but still, neither of them ever washed their hands or put on new gloves... to hand pick pizza toppings (some of which are served fresh and not baked). Flu, covid and strep cases are so high in Miami, the govt sent to homes free testing kits, and I receive weekly alerts about practicing good...
Read moreCasa Tua Cucina is a gem in the heart of Miami that offers a unique blend of upscale Italian dining and gourmet market flair. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a chic yet warm ambiance that feels both refined and inviting.
The food is the real star here. Whether you’re craving handmade pasta, wood-fired pizza, or classic Italian desserts, the quality is consistently high. The truffle pasta and burrata pizza are standouts—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The wine selection is thoughtfully curated, and their espresso is top-notch if you’re just stopping by for a quick coffee break.
One of the most unique aspects is the layout: multiple open kitchens and food stations where you can see the chefs at work. It gives the space a lively, European-market feel that’s both fun and stylish.
Service is generally attentive, though it can vary depending on how busy it is. Prices are on the higher end, but you’re paying for quality ingredients and a premium setting, so it’s worth it for a nice night out or a special lunch.
Overall, Casa Tua Cucina is a great choice for anyone who appreciates authentic Italian cuisine in a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere.
✅ What earns it 4 stars: • Excellent food quality: Fresh ingredients, flavorful dishes, and authentic Italian preparation. • Beautiful atmosphere: Stylish, modern, and welcoming. • Unique concept: The open kitchen layout and market-style dining elevate the experience. • Solid service (usually): Friendly and professional staff.
❌ Why not 5 stars? • Inconsistent service during peak hours: When it’s busy, service can be slower or a bit scattered. • Premium pricing: The food is great, but some items feel slightly overpriced for portion size. • Crowds and wait times: Popularity means it can get very crowded, which might detract from the...
