The "manager" of this location is disrespectful and absolutely should not be a manger. I walked into this location to purchase lunch. When I walked in, neither of the two young ladies behind the counter greeted me. One was making pizzas (the manager), the other was cutting and boxing pies. I stood at the counter on front of the register awaiting the assistance. The manger walks by towards the back (still no acknowledgement of my presence), the other looks up and sees me but continues to cut n box. After about a two mins, I ask the one cutting if someone was able to take my order? She looks around as if looking for the other woman and says, "yes, one moment". She then comes over to take my order. Now the other woman comes back and has her phone to her ear talking. She then switches it over to her ear buds.
I'm sitting for about ten minutes awaiting my sandwich. Yes I ordered a sandwich from a pizza place.... They have great sandwiches. Then I hear them tell a lady that it's about a 20 min wait for orders. I then ask how long it'll take for my order... I'm initially told 20 mins. I tell them I want a refund because I've already been here for 20 mins and that I need to get to work. Now the manager identified herself as THE MANAGER. I told her that I've been here far too long waiting on a sandwich. She begins to raise her voice telling me that I'm not the only one waiting for food. I understand that; however I should have been told that in the beginning when I ordered. I also proceed to tell her that her customer service is lacking. Not one person greeted me. You're walking around on your phone but you are the manager. Now all of a sudden it'll only take 6 mins to make my sandwich. I insist on a refund because I'm not about to argue with someone young enough to be my daughter! Finally I ask for her name.... She refuses to give it.... Yet gives plenty of back talk and ensures that I know she's THE MANAGER. I ask the "cutter" and eventually the delivery guy for the District Manager's name... They don't know it, but the driver tells me that the store Manager's name is on the door. As I walk out, THE MANAGER tells me she does not care who I call and to be sure to take a picture of the name on the door.
Now a little about the person they disrespected and show a master class of bad customer service.... 51 years old 34 year Army veteran Captain with a major airline
Johnny Domenech.... Train your people...
Read moreI was originally going to place only 1 star when, after a 1.50 hours later, I decided to pick-up what was supposed to be a 30min delivery.
What I found at the 2001 Biscayne Blvd. Miami store, was a highly understaffed Domino's team that was lead by a very efficient manager, 2 staff members and 1 driver.
I asked her what was the required headcount, just to learn that they are looking for 3 more managers, out-off 5 needed, as well as some 10 staff members and another 10 drivers.
It was 11:30pm, when I observed how the manager attended 3 groups of clients that showed-up for pick-up (me included), plus preparing pizza and locating a millennial staff member that abusively took a 2 hour break, when it was only allowed to have 30min. She was really trying hard to keep the shop working at its best.
The 4 stars are for the manager and the staff. That after all those limitations, they still managed to pull off my request with the taste and quality I was expecting.
The 5th star, which I did not add, is to signal the need from corporate to deepen that strategic approach onto how they can recruit and retain motivated staff members, independently of what generational group they come from.
A final advice to the buyers of this Domino's store; buy pick-up. They will fulfill. If you ask for delivery, be prepared to wait a couple of hours. The staff are indeed doing their best they can with the limited...
Read moreThis has to be the worst Domino's in Miami, hands down. Now, I get it, Domino's is Domino's, subpar pizza BUT the SERVICE PEOPLE here, they're a whole different level of bad. They might as well be zombies with how little attention they pay to customers. Picture this: I walk in, and it's like a ghost town, just me and the counter. I stand there for what feels like ages, waiting for someone, anyone, to acknowledge my existence. But no luck. They're too busy staring off into space or checking out the ceiling tiles to even glance in my direction.
And if by some miracle I manage to catch their eye, they're in such a rush to get rid of me that they barely listen to my order. And you'd think, with no one else around they would pay attention when my order is ready, but nope. My pizza sits there, ignored, while they shuffle around behind the counter. If you don't push their focus, your order can sit there for 20 minutes.
Just tonight, I placed a pick-up order, thinking maybe things would be different. But surprise, surprise, it was the same old song and dance. At this point, I think it's probably better for my health if I just pretend this place doesn't exist anymore.
Seriously, do yourself a favor and skip this Domino's. There are plenty of other pizza joints just a stone's throw away, and they actually know how to treat their...
