This bakery was down the street from our Airbnb, so we ended up here a few mornings to grab coffee and a bite. I have tried only one thing here, and even though they have an impressive selection of pastries and cakes, I don't think I could ever try anything else after being spoiled by their guava and cheese pastry (pastelito de guayaba + queso).

Let me tell you: this pastry is out of this world. It feels like it weighs nothing. The dough is so well laminated and flaky, even more so I would say than a typical croissant. And it has the perfect amount of guava paste and cream cheese. It's deceptively light, and yet it will definitely power you through the morning. Once, I got it and it was still WARM like it was fresh out of the oven. I died a little with every bite.

Coffee here is pretty good. If you get a "cafe con leche," they will add a lot of milk unless you specify that you want an espresso or...

What’s happened? Been coming to El Brazo Fuerte for many years. Thy have been consistently good for as long as I can remember. Sadly, things are changing: pastelitos are about 20% smaller than they used to be and they’ve done something to the “pastry recipe”. The last three times, it’s just been underwhelming. How is it possible that the Pastelitos look/taste “Day Old” at 7:30am? Pastelito de Carne: Dry Pastry with a cardboard texture and meat filling that is akin to Sand (over baked) Pastelito de Queso: again, dry...but the worst part is the top of the pastelito. There is No/Zero moisture with No sugar and they are burnt. The ends should be slightly chewy and one should be able to taste the butter/flour/sugar mix. Guyaba: only thing keeping this pastelito alive is the filling...the pastry is the same dry + day old tasting mix. Hope ownership reads this and addresses their recent...

El Brazo Fuerte Bakery is a delightful spot that captures the essence of traditional Cuban baking. The moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked pastries envelops you, promising a treat for your senses.

Their pastelitos de guayaba y queso are a must-try—flaky, sweet, and perfectly balanced. The croquetas, especially the jamón de la casa, are crispy on the outside and creamy inside, making them a favorite among locals. Pair these with a strong cafecito for the full experience.

The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring quick service even during busy hours. The bakery maintains a clean and inviting atmosphere, making it a pleasant place to enjoy your treats.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of Cuban pastries or trying them for the first time, El Brazo Fuerte Bakery offers an authentic and satisfying experience that keeps patrons...

This place is the TRUTH! They have all kinds of pastries, cakes, sandwiches, coffee and fresh squeezed OJ! I have no idea how much the juice was but I'm sad I did not buy the biggest size available. I'd pay double, it's that good! My guava con queso, pastel de queso, croquettas de jamon. The lady who took care of us was so sweet and insightful. I bought plenty of things and barely paid $30. The cuban bread was fresh and delicious! The time we arrived there was not a huge line inside but plenty of people picking up orders etc. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the bread pudding. Perhaps whoever made it, didn't have that magic touch. Could be a fluke. The rice pudding and flan looked quite tasty. It's a Miami must. I'd never seen such a vast variety of EVERYTHING!!! I was eating with my eyes for sure. Thanks!

We were looking for some pastelitos and read this was a good place to try them. Covid-19: this is probably the most uncomfortable I've been in a restaurant in the pandemic. Luckily, most people had masks on, but it was so crowded. You have to take a number and wait for it to be called, so there's no line. We tried to wait outside and look at the board to see what number they were on, but they don't update it. It's really hard to hear what number they're calling. As for the pastries, we got a guava pastelito and a guava and cheese pastelito. Both were quite delicious. The filling was my favorite part, but the pastry was light and flaky. The pastries were good, but you wouldn't find me back at a place this crowded until the pandemic is over.

I've been walking to this Cuban bakery for decades. It's like stepping back in time to where you abuelo took you after school. My daughter loves it as do i but beyond the usual favorites this is one of the few places that you can still purchase un Pan de Gloria and the bocadito spread your abuelo use to make for special occasions. The employees haven't changed in decades and everyone is very sweet. Over the years they have added tequenos and pan de Bono as well as some American classics like chocolate mousse. They have every type of croqueta and empanadas as well as pastelitos. It's usually packed but line moves fast and it's everyone's go to place for Cuban bread.
