This place just opened and they already started off on the wrong foot. Purchased tickets through Eventbrite for their NYE party. It was $55 for a 3 hour open bar. I thought it was reasonable and it was a new place, looked nice and they announced that rapper Noreaga was hosting it - another motivator for me to choose this party over so many others ones going on that day. They also had tickets for free entry with no alcohol included. Some of my friends got the free entry and some of us paid for the open bar. Once we got there they gave us a white wrist band. The lady at the front put mine on too tight and told me she couldn't give me another one cause I guess they had the exact amount of bands as people who got tickets. Sounded like poor organization already but no biggie.
They also gave my friends who got the free entry (no alcohol included) the SAME white wrist band. I found that funny. I started noticing every single person had the same wrist band and not one person was paying for any drinks at the bar - not even the people who got the free ticket!!!
So at this point I'm suspicious and I start asking around out of curiosity. EVERYONE had access to the open bar even if they didn't pay for the $55 evenbrite ticket. So I brought it up to "management" or whoever was in charge that night. This guy (I believe his name was Joe) was super super rude. He wanted to blame MY friends for being dishonest about what ticket they had purchased when THEY were the ones that gave them the white wrist band. They had a list of who clearly paid for open bar and who only had the free entry ticket. How are the bartenders supposed to distinguish who paid or who didn't? So after minutes of arguing and demanding my money back, he admitted they messed up but didn't want to remedy the problem. I said I would write them a nasty letter (which I still intend on doing so) demanding my money back. He decided to give my friend her money back instead of mine cause he told her he "i ran my mouth too much". WOW!!!!
Oh and not to mention, Noreaga never showed up. So not only were we duped into paying for open bar when clearly everyone else had drinks for free, we didn't get to see Noreaga and I had to deal with the rudest "manager" they had there who admitted to their lack of organization and refused to give me my money back.
They left a bad taste in my mouth and I'll be sure to post this review everywhere and send a formal demand letter asking for my money back. It was 10 of us and they'll be doing the same. NEVER EVER again will I...
Read moreTake your BLK Dollars elsewhere!!! If you’re looking for the worst club in Wynwood here you have it! So I’ve been to this club multiple times (last last resorts each time) . Despite the service starting at the door being horrible and the club being as small as a New York apartment, despite the fact they charge you to use the bathroom, I still tried to give them a benefit of the doubt. This past weekend was the last straw. My cousin was in town and wanted to go pregame somewhere that didn’t have a cover . We ended up at racket. I sat and counted 5 YT women enter the club in different groups wearing flats which we also had on. When it was our turn the male bouncer told us we couldn’t enter with flats on. And i was confused because me and another female had the same shoe on that went before me.When I walked over to speak with the female bouncer/door attendant about the dress code she was just as lost as me , she said oh maybe they have a table (Which was false and I’ve never heard of dress code exceptions because you have a table. The male bouncer then ran over to her and started yelling to her to deny us entry “do not grant them entry”. Throw the whole club away. To discriminate like this isn’t already a hole in the wall is crazy. Another bouncer claimed that was the owner being rude and discriminating , If the owner acts that way imagine the staff ! Anyway the rest of night was fun minus this nonsense! Spend your money where you’re...
Read moreSo last night I went to to this establishment. I actually went initially to see DJ jazzy Jeff preform his set. But before entering the premises we asked the manager, Alex, If it was okay to smoke a cigar. He told us yes it is OK. Especially since there are people smoking cigarettes and marijuana at the premises . After the set of DJ jazzy Jeff was finished, my husband decided to smoke his cigar . As I went to meet my husband, I smoked a little of the cigar . There was a woman named Rachel complaining. She decided to tell the Manager. The rude bouncer , Angel, decided to tell me I could not do that and snatch the cigar out my hand and escorted me out the premises. The reason why this gets me extremely upset is because you are allowed to smoke cigarettes and marijuana but not a Cigar that I asked prior to entering the premises whether I can smoke it or not . Aaaannddd, I was seeing people taking bumps of Coke at the VIP tables . So it seems like everyone could do anything else but you can't smoke a cigar. So you could do Coke but you cannot smoke a cigar?? And this is why I'm upset and I'm putting this review , because apparently you could do all kinds of illegal drugs but you cant smoke a cigar Because 1 woman decided to complaince annddd I got permission to do so . This is hypocrisy at its finest . I am never coming here again. Apparently it's okay to do Coke but you can't smoke...
