I would say the donuts are really really good which is what they advertise for. The service is decent, sometimes they can put more thought into responding to guest inquires. For instance, there is a discrepancy between what door dash says, and what it is offered in the store. Does that mean like they are running out of donuts quickly? (rhetorical question). I would also say for the big glaze donut, I am not able to properly view it on door dash when selecting the order. I have even tried to view it in the app early in the morning, and can not see other big ones sometimes. The staff are not able to handle these types of questions. the situation, and give a response as to why it is, I have called twice about it. One response was stated that they sold out, they are selling out at 9 am?
I would say another issue is the iced latte (coffee) that comes out very dark, and that is quite interesting for an iced latte. I threw it away immediately. So, the donuts are good, but the coffee is so bad. It sucks because coffee and donuts are a nice combo. It is very sweet, and when asked to remake, they give a response like "no sorry, that is how we make our coffees". Also, the lack of customer attention, and detail that was missing.
The atmosphere could have more detail, such as having more indoor seating and charging stations, as people like to do work while at these types of establishments. Also, the bathroom was dirty once when I went in, and did not have paper towels. I like the sufficient outdoor seating, but could add more creativity to how the tables are designed.
The donuts are good, just wanted to state that, so I am going to give some points for that, but the other factors do contribute to an overall rating. Just pricy but not too crazy. I would saying fixing the customer support, and making sure you have sufficient amount of donuts to sell is the main problem. You want to make sure people have somewhere to sit also, and maybe taking people's feedback about the coffee as it is quite frustrating even when asked to remake.

Read moreI checked the list of best donut places in Miami, and this one was the first in the list, so I decided to check it.
It’s located in Wynwood art district, in 10-15 min drive from downtown. There is a parking on the opposite side of the street.
OMG! The donuts were sooo good! Especially “Tres leches donut” - with a meringue on top, which was recommended by a man, who was in line just above me.
Also we tried Guava + Cheese (sweet with a little bit of sour); Hazelnut + Chocolate (the hazelnut chocolate inside was amazing) and German Chocolate Cake (it wasn’t my type of bakery, as was much harder, than others).
Cold latte was also tasty, but I hope, that you could change plastic straws for a paper straws)
Read moreWhile on holiday, I decided to indulge in one of my favorite travel traditions: trying a local donut shop that has the internet buzzing.
The shop itself was charming, and the display case was full of creative flavors. I picked three that stood out: Brown Sugar Peach Cobbler, Mixed Berry Cheesecake, and Tiramisu. On paper, this trio had all the makings of a flavor-packed treat session. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t quite match the hype.
Let’s start with the most glaring issue: texture. Every donut I tried leaned heavily toward dense and dry—more “cakey brick” than pillowy pastry. They were thick to the point where each bite felt like a bit of a workout, and honestly, I half-joked to myself that I should’ve brought water just to get through them without choking.
Flavor-wise, they weren’t offensive—but they also weren’t memorable. The brown sugar peach cobbler lacked the warm, buttery sweetness I expected. The mixed berry cheesecake had a faint fruitiness, but nothing that stood out. And the tiramisu? Let’s just say I kept waiting for that rich coffee-and-cream kick that never quite arrived.
To be fair, the donuts weren’t bad—just average. And when a place has sky-high reviews, average feels like a letdown.
Would I go back? Probably not. But hey, part of travel is trying new things—even if they’re not exactly the sugar-dusted dreams I hoped for. Average price point per donut:$5.00
The Salty Donut decor and atmosphere was the only thing that stood out.
I guess The Salty Donut lived up to making...
