Truluck's Ocean's Finest Seafood and Crab — Restaurant in Miami

I would like to tell you all about my time at this fine establishment, but I prefer to tell you about the people that took care of our large and raucous party.

I will refer to them as The Waitress, The Bartender, The Sommelier, and The Manager. You know who you were that night (6/2/24)

These four professionals showed me an incredible dining experience unmatched in all of Greater Miami. Their attention to detail, presentation, alternatives when menu items were not available and service to the customer are an example of what the industry should follow.

I, and my party, were treated like royalty for a very special occasion. Service was perfect and and timing of service was almost scripted. No mistakes were made and additions were taken in stride. The cocktails our Bartender made were perfectly made by a skilled tradesman of the craft and were delicious. Our Waitress was nowhere and everywhere at the same time, almost like an apparition, she know when to show and serve as needed without hovering. The Sommelier, and I mean this in the best possible way, probably had more fun than we did, as we are that down to Earth table, and he was in his element. His suggestions made for an amazing meal and an even better dessert session. Finally, The Manager, a consummate professional, a man with the right connections and of exquisite taste. His hospitality is second to none and we should all be so lucky to find him in our stead.

If this is the team that takes care of me when I return, I will gladly work all that I can to continue returning here. I do not have enough accolades for this establishment as there are not enough available to me in the English language, but I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to celebrate a truly special occasion or would enjoy an intimate dining experience.

Who knew that delicious food is just part of what Truluck's has to offer? Ambience, personal service, generosity, and a warm and welcoming but thoroughly professional staff are but some of the other ingredients we experienced. Imagine getting an offer from one of Miami's premiere restaurants to fully donate a cocktail party to benefit your dog rescue, PAWS4you. As a non-profit, we are continually challenged with how to spread the word on our mission, and also how to express our deep gratitude for our loyal supporters. When we received the email from Kim Vazquez at Truluck's, we almost couldn't believe it - truly a dream proposition for our rescue. She reached out to us in such a heartfelt manner, as she herself had adopted two dogs from our rescue and sincerely wanted to help us save even more dogs. She thoughtfully curated the perfect menu (we didn't change a thing), decor, and even a specialty drink ("Happy Tails") for our guests. The food was delicious and exquisitely presented - mini crab cakes, vegetarian ceviche, tuna tartare, and even carrot cake truffles wrapped up to be sent home with our guests! The staff, especially Chef Orlando, treated us as if we were VIPs, and Kim even honored our last-minute request to speak - a loving tribute to PAWS4you that had us all in tears! It was a night to celebrate - our new plans to renovate our retreat, the ongoing generosity of our donors, and the kindness and talent of the staff at Truluck's, who, in their own special way, encouraged us with a newfound faith in the humanity of...
