Poor management.
I ate here on a Tuesday night using the car hop service. It was a busy Tuesday night, maybe 12 cars in the car hop and they had one server working the car hop service, who was apparently new. I don't know if you guys have ever worked in food service, but expecting a brand new employee to service 12 cars is just poor management. My partner and I placed our order. A burger and an avocado/turkey sandwhich, both with fries. After waiting 40 minutes, we finally got our food, and the sandwhich had jelly on it. I waved the server down and asked her if she can have it remade. She said yes. Shortly after, several other complaints were made from other people in their cars. I could tell the server was having a rough night, and waited patiently for my sandwhich to be remade. After almost 25 minutes, still no remade sandwhich. The server had a breakdown in the restaurant. At this point I felt bad, I wasn't even upset, things happen. No big deal. There was a line of other people wanting to complain about the long wait and errors in their orders too, so I just chose to leave without the sandwhich that I paid for.
The next day, I called the number on my receipt (Hires corporate office) hoping to just get a refund, I left a voicemail. A couple days later, I got a call back from somebody in management, asking me to go over my complaint. He said he would call this location and then call me back. I never got a call back, waited all day, almost 6 hours. I finally called him back and his response was, "Oh, sorry. I called that location and somebody new was working.." He offered to put my name in a book for a free sandwich. I asked for a refund, and he said no. I told him this location was out of the way for me. Why is it my responsibility to come to your establishment and make things right? Likely spend additional money on a new order? Why won't you just refund my $10 for the turkey sandwhich? Most places would just refund the whole order...
Hires Big H should be renamed Hire Big L... cause they're taking a big L...
Read moreOrdered a pizza... ham and pepperoni on one side and ham and pineapple on the other, they were out of the sausage we love so much. I hated writing this but it had to be done. I am wondering if anyone else got a pizza with pepperoni on 9/20/2017 around 9:30 PM. Ok first thing we did was walked into the restaurant, we noticed a foul smell of sewer penetrating from the place and this started the rest of our horrible pizza night. Paid for our order and took it home. When we got home and when we opened the pizza box we noticed the pizza had a sour smell. After some taste and touch testing we found the pepperoni was bad. It wasn't bad like Dominos pepperoni bad, this was sour meat locker bad. It was so bad it made the rest of the pizza rancid and foul. I worked in the food industry for years, trust me i know when meat is bad. Some Advice for this pizza joint... NO PEPPERONI DON'T LAST FOREVER. If your pepperoni smells funny, is discolored and is sour it has gone bad. Any signs of moisture or foul odors should spur your chef or who ever is the food manager to toss the remaining pepperoni in the trash can. Any brown hues that develop over time are a strong indicator that your pepperoni is not good. Pay close attention to the perimeter of your pepperoni for discoloration. If it has turned brown, grey or looks to light or to dark, do not eat it. And lastly for the people who make the pizza's... If the Pepperoni sticks to your hand or has slime before you put it on a pizza immediately discard the pepperoni. Please if anyone else was there and smelt the sewer smell and or had the bad pepperoni please let us know or email me. I called them and let them know the pepperoni was not edible and they were un-helpful and asked me to just bring them back the pizza. I don't want my money back or even care to order from there...
