My experience here was disappointing. And I wasn’t even expecting much. First, I came here with my Service Animal and they refused to let me keep him inside. I do mean Service Animal and not Emotional Support Animal. I tried to explain the difference but it took about 20 minutes for the doorman (not the manager) to ask a General Manager from another location who finally explained the difference. Even then, the focus was to make sure I knew that if my dog acted in any way that was outside the realm of Service Animal behavior, he would have to go outside. I understand the point of the rules, but after the way I was treated, making sure I knew that they could still ask me to leave was degrading, discriminatory, and insensitive. The manager was very dismissive saying “I’m not going to argue with you about it”.
So, after that exchange, I ended up staying (which seems absurd now) because it was my birthday and I was there for karaoke and hadn’t planned a backup. The bar boasts a brand new Karaoke system and has Karaoke every night so I was expecting Karaoke to be quite entertaining, but it wasn’t. The bar obviously doesn’t understand what a Karaoke atmosphere is supposed to be like. I don’t think they should have Karaoke because it isn’t in any way treated as the entertainment. Apparently they insist on keeping the volume of the microphone so low that even sitting right next to the speaker, I couldn’t hear people singing. When I was up, I couldn’t even hear myself singing (which really sucks if you are an amateur) because the music was so loud and the mic was so low. Not fun. There wasn’t much of the atmosphere of having a crowd of people participating in the enjoyment of the music, etc.
On top of everything else my group and the other groups around us, sat without service for 20 minutes before we went to the bar to order drinks. At the bar they told us that there were cocktail waiters that provided service to the area where we were sitting, but only three for the entire bar. The bar was quite full and they serve food so, it was woefully understaffed. We did eventually get the waitress to start serving us, but it was not great service due to the volume of people she was trying to take care of.
The only redeeming quality of the place was the fact that the building isn’t a piece of crap. I will never be back and I would not recommend it for anyone who wants to do karaoke or has a disability. I would have given them a second star for the fact that they keep their kitchen open so late which seems cool (although I can’t speak to the quality of the food), but I think that is also creating a situation where they are trying to do too...
Read moreI assumed that these reality TV shows about terrible restaurants has paid actors or were exaggerating the level of inept and disorganized service.... until I experienced it first hand. I went to this bar because I saw it on bar rescue. Aside from the circus decor, it seems like it's right back to the circumstances before it was redone. Our waitress was very unfriendly. When we asked for a drink menu, she looked at us like we were such an inconvenience. They don't have the menu or the drinks from when they were on the show, citing Covid as the issue for getting ingredients... but alcohol is alcohol and most mixers are common (club soda, lime, etc). After we ordered (3 on my party) it took 30-45 minutes for our waitress to tell us they had no chicken, which two of us ordered. It seems like this would have been communicated so much sooner, but we changed our orders and walked. It took 45 minutes for me to get my food.. but it was only my food. The next person received their meal 35 minutes after me. The last in my party complained a total of 50 minutes after I received my meal(1.5 hours after ordering), at which point she got her order (which was just nachos with cheese and no meat) but it was made incorrectly. After being there for nearly two hours, we said we'd rather leave than wait for the corrected dinner. The waitress gave us a look like it was lids and never once apologized for taking two hours when the bar was not that busy and still couldn't get the order right. I have literally never complained about a restaurant until tonight. That is how bad my experience was. Would recommend you go literally anywhere...
Read moreAwesome place to chill! I went on a Monday toward closing time and people still were coming in at 12:30 asking for a drink. Seems to be quite popular! They also have $0.50 wings. I can't speak much for the food but they only do 50 cent wings on Monday (boneless) and Wednesday (bone in). I also had 2 drinks They were really good one being the Juicy IPA and a beer from Wasatch (don't remember the full name). The bartenders are very friendly and willing to help! They also are interested in a chat if you ever need to socialize :D and from what I saw are definitely interested in knowing your name. They seemed to refer to each customer by name and it was very cool to see that. When they asked me by name "Adrian, do you want to close out?" It was a big change as that's never happened before. If you come here enough They will definitely remember your name, I'm pretty sure anyway haha. Also it was a big shock because I never told them my name, they must have gotten it from my card and just remembered it so definitely great service. About 3 or 4 Pool tables and a wall full of darts are available to have some fun with the drinks. I also hear they do Dart tournaments, which I would believe with how many dart boards they have! The music was also a vibe so it's basically all good things I can say about this place. I didn't have a bad experience here but then again it was only a short visit. If you're ever in the area...
