I like Louie's. This was my first visit to this location but have been to 3 other locations. I had the Prohibition burger and it was great. It was a cold evening when my brother and I were there and some of the wait staff kept going out the side door to smoke. I'm a big guy and rarely get cold but the constant opening of that door was bringing a blizzard right across my table, brrrrrr! It's not that big of a deal but it was kinda annoying. I would imagine most women would have found the cold blast intolerable because they are generally more sensitive to cold. The only other thing I notice was it was spotlight bright inside the restaurant. It's like they had all the lights on like you do when you are closing and it was extremely bright in there. Not very conducive to any ambience or coziness for daters but I was there with my brother and even still found it to be much like the lights you would be under if abducted by aliens. We used to work and manage some bars and know a thing or two about creating an atmosphere and the examination lights are not it. Other than that this location is fine and some may like it bright as a nuclear blast when they eat. Jist to be clear I like Louie's and they have good food in my opinion and the couple of incidents I listed here aren't that big of a deal. But if you don't say something in a review they may never know or they may have good reason for how they operate. Give them a try if you've never been there, my guess is you'll be back again for the food but maybe not so much for the...
Read moreExcellent service. Nice soothing sporty atmosphere.
The food was good and reasonable in pricing. The presentation was very nice. We had boneless chicken wings. The breading was too heavy. One of those bites you taste globs of batter and no chicken.
The cheese curds were the same. Huge bite of batter. Cheese? Some pieces had no cheese inside the bite. The sheet had melted outside the crust. And, they were overcooked. No golden brown; dark and over cooked. Sadly, I wondered if the cheese was 1/4 inch cubes.
We ordered the Louigi Special pizza. A very beautiful looking dish. The crust was unique and good. The cheese was fairly distributed. The toppings were good, with the exception of the ham. Very thin deli ham chopped into 1/4 inch pieces. That ruined a great dish. Why? Get a thicker bite so the taste can be enjoyed. Finally, no pepperoni. Old age and heart burn. The waitress suggested I double up an ingredient. I chose more onions. I love the taste of onion on a pizza. The problem here was that the onions were diced very small. And, there were very few onions. My wife believes the cook misread our order.
The fries. AWESOME, in my worthless opinion. These are toothpick fries. I know, Tiny. But they had a great bite and tasted well.
I hope management responds to our post. I want to know why a nice joint as this puts out this...
Read moreThis "used to be" my favorite place for Gluten Free pizza. Not anymore. I threw up my food and threw an entire box away. They are not consistent with the quality of their food and their service isn't good anymore. I waited 40 minutes for a server to get us drinks. This place sucks now. The waiters talk in the kitchen more than they serve. Plus, on a Friday night, it was so crowded and it felt racist especially because they didn't want to serve us. This restaurant needs a bit more color. And, the patio "Used to be" One of my favorite places to dine outside and enjoy their pizza. Not anymore. Plus, if you try their flavored Alcoholic drinks, they "used to be" great. But, their watered down and cost more than average. This place is a rip off. Now, I wouldn't buy a drink at the bar if they paid me too. Everything is here to eat or drink is Totally gross and overpriced. Btw Whoever the bartender and chef are....Just do us all a...
