heytea (Milpitas) — Restaurant in Milpitas

This review is solely for the horrible store design and system NOT the service, service speed or drinks. I got good service and the drinks are good tho pricey but whoever design this store need to rethink their life choices

this store is small with minimal seating solely used for waiting. Yet they decide to have the pickup counter next to the register facing the wall, next to people who order vs facing the door like the other stores. This means people cant grab their order fast and have to cut through people waiting to order in line

the screen showing the orders are small and all the way on the back wall. The bigger wall is used for decorations. You cant see it from afar which means people will linger or crowd to look thus a bigger crowd. They have to squeeze to look or ask the staff for their order or they might miss it. Frustrating for everyone

1 self service kiosk is all the way in the back, not next to the door. The kicker? They make it unavailable if the store is busy. But you wont know until you touch it and lose your place in line. There is no warning on the screen either, it just said it’s unavailable. I only knew when i hears a staff member tell someone and saw people using it after i couldnt

they give you a QR code to order that require you to download their app. And if they’re busy? You cant order from the app either lmao

no menu anywhere except next to the order counter which is hella crowded so you cant even look at the menu when you wait in line. It is tiny as well like??

This place is so busy but their system is set up so inefficiently it’s infuriating. I’ve been to the SJ location which is bigger and more open. Kiosks at the door, order and look at the big screen when my drinks are ready. Done. Why make it so hard on...

This was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at a tea shop. We placed our order at 11:01am, literally the second order of the day, but somehow our drinks took over 20 minutes to be prepared. During that time, dozens of later orders were made and handed out ahead of us, which makes absolutely no sense unless it was done intentionally—which, based on the attitude from the staff, it very much felt like.

The employees were completely indifferent, unhelpful, and borderline rude. When we asked about the delay, we got dismissive and cold responses. No apology, no explanation, nothing. Just complete disrespect for our time and business.

To make things worse, when we finally got our drinks, the lids were not sealed properly—one was literally open—and there was powder spilled all over the cup, dripping down the sides. It looked unsanitary and completely unacceptable for any food or beverage service. This raises serious health and hygiene concerns.

I expected better from Heytea, but this Milpitas location is a total embarrassment to the brand. Between the horrible attitude, deliberate delays, and disgusting drink presentation, I will never return—and I’ll be warning everyone I know to avoid this place...

this has got to be one of my new favorite Boba spot!! I lov how they have so many straightforward flavors and options to select from - normally I really dislike having grape flavor drinks/items - because it taste very artificial/medicine like. but with hey tea, I really enjoy how it tastes because its so refreshing/I'm eating just grapes/drinking regular grapes - 10/10 would recommend. it is a little bit sweeter because of the natural grapes so I would actually recommend getting less sweetness as it still taste relatively sweet and sometimes no additional toppings are needed since the fresh grapes are on the bottom. their service is quick, attentive and easy to follow and I appreciate how quickly they turned the drinks around with such high-quality.
