AUTHENTIC JAPANESE RAMEN IN THE BAY šŸŒ‰šŸœ @obaitori_ramen is hands down some of the best ramen i’ve ever had! Unlike the ramen we are used to in the US (tonkatsu/shoyu), Obaitori serves up yummy seafood/chicken based ramen! Boy when I tell you everything I ate was a 10/10 i’m not lying šŸ˜. The appetizers were so good it really surprised me because i was a bit hesitant on the squid karaage. idk why because i love calamari šŸ˜‚. Turns out i like it even better than calamari now!! The house sauce was filled with umami flavor with a bit of citrus to cut through. The chicken karaage was also super good with a crispy exterior and juicy inside. Now let’s get into the stars of the show: the Ramen! I really can’t decide which i like better- i guess it would just have to be whatever i’m in the mood for! I don’t think i’ve ever had traditional seafood/chicken based ramen before and i’m so glad i did! You can taste the freshness and richness in the broth and the aromatics when the bowl first arrives at your table is so insane. The noodles have the perfect bounce and chew and the toppings compliment the broth so well. I’m a HUGE fan and i can’t wait til i can come back and get more. Did i mention you can make anything SPICY? Yeah i’m def trying that next 🄰 ••• #obaitoriramen #obaitori #ramen #noodlepull #mukbang #eatwithsie #japanesefood #japanese #authenticjapanesefood #milpitasfoodie #milpitas #southbayfoodie #bayareafoodie #bayareafood #bayareabites #yelpelite #yelpelitesquad #ramennoodles #bayarearamen #japan #sanjosefoodie #sanjose #siliconvalley

A hidden gem for ramen lovers is tucked away in a Milpitas plaza. Obaitori Ramen is a no-frills shop that serves up one of the most delicious and authentic ramen in the Bay Area. The menu features a variety of ramen dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The signature Tokusei Gyokai Paitan (seafood) ramen is a must-try, so rich and creamy. This is a result of a long-simmered mixture of mollusks, fish and chicken. I also loved the Tsukemen (dipping ramen) for its thick and savory broth. Besides ramen, I also loved the variety of other Japanese dishes and appetizers, like the gyoza, takoyaki, squid and chicken karaage. The portions are generous and perfect to have with beers or sake. šŸ“Obaitori Ramen @obaitori_ramen 1708 N Milpitas Blvd, Ste 2767, Milpitas, CA 95035 #bayareafoodie #southbayfoodie #globaleats #eeeeeats #lovefood #foodiesinternationalchat #sjfoodie #7Ɨ7bayarea #sanfranciscofood #ramenlover #ramennoodles #paitan #tonkotsu #tonkotsuramen #noodlesoup #noodlelover #hakataramen #paitan #seafoodramen #karaage #chickenkaraage #tsukemen

Came with my family to have a quick dinner and Kokoro Ramen sufficed but was hardly the best ramen experience in the bay. We began our meal with the takoyaki. The dish comes with 5 and is unfortunately smothered in dried bonito shreds and mayo which takes away from the experience a bit in my opinion. I would have preferred it to be a little lighter on the two condiments and instead add in pickled ginger or more nori seasoning. Still, it was delivered piping hot so kudos to that. Next we added a mini spicy pork donburi. I thought this was excellent on flavor but the rice left some to be desired. It may have been cooled because for Japanese rice, the grains were loose rather than warm and glutinous. Donburi is supposed to be one of those ultimate comfort dishes after all. Finally came our rounds of ramen. I opted for the black garlic ramen which was presented very nicely with a smorgasbord of toppings. Noodles were cooked well, but much thicker than average Japanese ramen places. Char siu is hardly what I would consider generous - two measly slices? Meh. At least they weren't too fatty. I also tried my best to ration noodles with toppings but eventually found myself eating spoonfuls of bean sprouts and woodear mushrooms towards the end...and you can imagine how delectable that must have been. Overall, the meal was an average ramen experience.

Located in Milpitas, this charming Japanese Ramen joint may not be the ideal choice for vegetarian or vegan individuals, as suggested by others. While there is one option available for Vegetarian Ramen, it features a soy-based broth with fish powder, essentially making it a fish broth. Therefore, there is only one soup-less Maje Ramen option for vegetarians. We tried this dish and found it enjoyable, it comes at a spicy level, no need for additional spicy sauce. Standard option comes with kale noodles. However, it's worth noting that the ramen comes with a poached egg, which may not be suitable for vegetarians. If you fall into this category, be sure to request the omission of the egg. Additionally, we had the Curry Croquette, which resembled an Indian Cutlet and was undeniably delicious. It is highly recommended. We also tried the Chicken Mayo bowl (Mini Donburi), consisting of sticky rice topped with fried chicken and mayo, which was quite tasty. It would be beneficial to include more vegan and true vegetarian options on the menu to cater to a wider range of dietary...

Racist and discriminatory staff We went to eat here for Lunch . The place was full . There was a party ahead of us waiting to be seated. We put down our names and waited to be seated . It was cold and rainy outside , so we were waiting inside …. Just like the party ahead of us . The waitress comes and tells us rudely to wait outside. I tell her it’s cold outside , so can we wait inside till it’s our turn to be seated . She rudely tells us that we can’t . When I ask her why is that we are asked to go outside when the other person is ok to stay inside … she just rolls her eyes and walks away . It was just 2 of us . So there’s no way we were crowding the place . I think she was so Mean to us as we were not from the same ethinicity as her . We left without eating after being treated so poorly. It’s horrible how we were treated . Save your money and go to another ramen place . There are Tons of them in...
