Phở Nguyễn Restaurant, located at 275 W Calaveras Blvd in Milpitas, CA, is a cozy Vietnamese eatery known for its authentic soups and dishes served in a casual setting. The restaurant operates from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily, except on Tuesdays when it is closed. Diners often praise the generous portions and fresh ingredients. One reviewer noted, "The Bun is very filling as the restaurant is very generous with the toppings." Another customer highlighted the "big portions, fast service and very friendly" staff. The menu features a variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes, with the House Special Combination Beef Soup and Pork and Shrimp Spring Rolls being among the favorites. However, some patrons have mentioned that the broth can be on the sweeter side and that the noodles are occasionally too soft. The restaurant's ambiance is described as casual and homey, providing a comfortable environment for both individuals and groups. While the establishment is often busy, especially during lunch hours, the service remains efficient, ensuring that customers receive their meals promptly. Overall, Phở Nguyễn Restaurant offers a satisfying dining experience with its flavorful dishes and attentive service, making it a noteworthy option for Vietnamese cuisine in the Milpitas area.

During my recent business trip to the USA, I had a craving for a hot bowl of pho, so my colleagues took me to a local Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. The restaurant had a simple setup but was clean, and the staff was attentive. I tried their signature pho, which featured a variety of beef cuts and was definitely worth trying. I chose the small bowl but couldn’t even finish it! I also ordered an add-on of pig blood with my young chicken pho, but it wasn’t as silky smooth as I’m used to, so I wouldn’t recommend it. The chicken pho was fairly average, though it was unique to find chicken served on the bone in the USA. The usual wrap with vermicelli, shrimp, and bean sprouts, paired with individual peanut sauce for dipping, was refreshing. Overall, we spent around $30 per person for lunch.

We sometimes eat here for convenience. Today was for dinner. I ordered the Pho Tai Sach, which had been my usual pho order at all pho restaurants. Their pho has been usually a tad on the sweeter side for us but with generous meat and sach. Overall, 3.5/5. The Hu Tieu soup was decent and good, nothing special but they did provide 2 quail eggs and more meat vs othe places, 3.5/5. Spring rolls, decent and average (seems to have gotten shorter), nothing special or wow. The peanut sauce was ok, 3/5. Our server was impatient and didn't listen well to our order this time. Customer service was made much better by the owner's son, which he usually provided great service. 4/5.
