Club Charlies — Restaurant in Milwaukee

I've been to Club Charlie's several times with my family before and it has never been as poor of an experience as it was this past weekend. My boyfriend's college friend was visiting for the night with his girlfriend and the first person we saw at the door was the woman that would end up serving us. She immediately had a poor attitude when I asked her if we could sit anywhere we'd like. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was just a rough night for her.

We sat down and waited for a few minutes. When the waitress finally came to our table she started taking our order and that's when things went south. We asked if we could split the bill in half and she acted as if that was the most absurd request in the world. She was extremely rude, unpleasant, and was mumbling under her breath about how "that's now how things work". When we tried explaining to her what we wanted she just kept snapping back at us with the nastiest attitude.

After what seemed like forever she finally figured out how to write down our order and abruptly walked away. We waited for a solid hour and a half for our food and it never came - mind you our waitress never once came back to our table. When we asked the other staff members about our food they seemed to have no idea what we were talking about. Turns out that the kitchen didn't even start on our order. We told them to just forget about it and got out of there right away.

Everything else about Club Charlie's was fine, but I have never experienced any sort of behavior like this woman's. She definitely did not fit the friendly Milwaukee atmosphere and pretty much ruined any sort of positive thought I previously had about...

Went to get dinner before a concert at the Amphitheater with my girlfriend and long time college friend. When we got there the waitress had an absolute conniption because we wanted two seperate bills for food. She said, that's not how that works and proceeded to mumble on and on at our table. She was clearly upset and not making sense. We chose to ignore that, but she never once returned to our table after an hour and 15 minutes.

We asked another waiter about the food order, and the kitchen said they hadn't started or received the order yet.. The rest of the staff seemed like they had no idea what was going on or how to deal with her either.

Don't recommend this place unless you want to feel like the waitress could start fighting people...

Unacceptable Service, very disappointed! Just walked up to be seated outside shortly after it rained. The hostess/bartender did not greet us whatsoever and instead she provided a soaking wet towel and told us “here you go, you clean off your own table”. The table had an ashtray filled with butts. The towel wasn’t even clean and no gloves were provided. We left! Despite the COVID pandemic, this should not be an expectation or responsibility of a customer. I called the manager and explained what happened and he replied “I would not have had you clean your own table”. This service is 100% the result of bad management.
