The food is outstanding! The menus are large and very clear on chalkboards. There are bowls, naan melts, soups, salads, and naan dips. There are about 6 selections for each. It is a very diverse and interesting menu. On our trip Ruta and her daughter were working. They are just the sweetest and helpful people willing to explain or tailor any of the dishes.
We had the Chickpeas Chaat and Chicken Tikka naan melts. It is hard to describe each of them for taste, but both were fantastic. They had some nice spice to it, but not overwhelming. The naan was warm and think enough to act as a good sandwich outside and the inside was delicious and filling. Ruta clearly knows what spices go best together.
They have about half of the menu vegan and those selections are clearly marked. I think most were chickpea(cooked) and tofu based. I was so impressed with my first time lunch I asked for their chili to go for dinner :)
I watched her daughter prepare a little. They are not just slapped together as in Chipotle, they took care to arrange and cook each order carefully. I must say it felt like we were in Ruta's kitchen at home and the dishes were made with love.
The place was very clean and there was enough seating which was comfortable. The only knock would be that parking is hard to find and the water glasses are quite tiny.
Ruta has written books publishing recipes which are available there. She is an energetic lady who truly is a master at food. She had a number of restaurants in other cities and taught culinary classes in India and has led food tasting trips there.
I felt like I found a hidden gem. You have...
Read moreRecently they changed their menu and while the food is still great the portion sizes have gotten smaller and the options seem less. For example a regular Naan Melt prior to the change was made with two Naans and cut into 4, like a quesadilla. It was served with sides. It was maybe +/- 15 dollars. Now its only one naan that's folded like a hot dog bun for 10 dollars. They sort of singled out the Melt to be on its own, and you no longer get sides or a sauce. While you can add soup as an option the original meal of a melt and sides no longer seems to be a straight forward option. They also no longer include any sauces and instead opt to charge extra for them. I feel like if you are paying 10 dollars for a single naan with some protein it wouldn't be outrageous to get a 50 cent mini cup of sauce included. I understand its a business but it feels like they are nickle and diming with the sauce. The food never disappoints, but the menu update is...
Read moreNew location seems 2b great upgrade. The taste was good b4 but we got almost no meat 6 mos ago. We finally got back today Aug 15, 2023 4 new "make ur own bowl", so protein is given uniformly. Might be a bit cheaper than b4 even. Tastes amazing, strong flavors, so better to mix up ur bowl. Plenty of no sugar keto options 4 my health.
