Absolutely, a 5 stars experience. Absolutely. I love this place what can I say? My biggest problem really is that it's hard to decide where to sit. Inside seating is just as beautiful as the outdoor harbor looking seating. The atmosphere here will not disappoint. Trust me.
I'm not a big fan of seafood. Never was. I had my first sushi here and I am glad that I did. It was really good. I ordered chicken sushi (I know! ) as a backup because I was just so afraid I'm not going to like fish sushi. I was wrong. As a matter of fact, the fish sushi was somehow less fishy than the chicken thing. It's good but I wouldn't waste my time or money on it. If you're like me, Go for the real deal.
The food is very clean. You'll notice that. It tastes clean. If there's any fishness, it's not something that made feel sick. Kinda gave me a whole different view about fishy taste. It's not bad, it's just different. You know? If you need help choosing, as the server. Don't be shy.
The Sake was a great choice I'm glad I ordered. It makes the experience much more fun. It's a little expensive tho.
Actually, this place in general is expensive. It's fine dining tho. You won't go there everyday. Perhaps It's a once a summer experience?
The service was very good. Patient, fun and professional. He helped choosing and was very knowledgeable about dishes.
♿ The place is very accessible for wheelchairs. It's open nature makes it a very good place to go to. Wide and big.
🅿 Parking can be painful. You might need a minute to find a parking and you'll walk a minute or two. Not a big deal,...
Read moreOverall great experience at Screaming Tuna. The diverse menu offered not just sushi, but delicious appetizers and sides. My party had the spicy edamame, the portobello mushrooms, as well as mashed potatoes as appetizers. We had the Screaming Tuna Special roll (heavenly), the Sell Out roll (almost as good), and a vegan vegetable roll with more substance than my vegan friend had ever seen in a sushi roll before. We all shared raspberry hot sake, which despite being $13, we were not able to drink it all. The hot sake was incredibly rich and smooth.
Our waiter was very kind and conversational, and since we were celebrating my birthday, he brought out a plate with two mochi confectionaries, which were a welcome and unprompted treat.
Overall, the atmosphere in Screaming Tuna was unique, with a spectacular view of the Confluence of the Kinnikinnick, Menomonee, and Milwaukee Rivers, and the view during sunset was truly special. We visited in winter, but it looked like in warmer months the restaurant opens huge French doors onto the slice of the riverwalk in front of the restaurant, where I assume one could be seated.
All of us would definitely visit Screaming Tuna again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice meal in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward. Thanks,...
Read moreWe placed a large takeout order at Screaming Tuna Sushi, and everything seemed to go smoothly at first. The woman who helped us over the phone was kind and helpful, even accommodating some modifications to our order, which we really appreciated.
However, when we got home, we discovered that half of our order was completely wrong. We had ordered for a large group, and this was not just a minor mistake—it made much of the food unusable for our dinner. We called the restaurant immediately, but were told by the person who answered that there was nothing they could do because the kitchen was closed and “everyone had left.”
What made this worse was the tone and attitude we received. The staff member was dismissive, offering no solution beyond “we’ll take your number and call you tomorrow.” There was no attempt to make things right, no empathy, and frankly, it felt like they didn’t care at all that we had just spent $140 on food we didn’t even order.
Mistakes happen—but it’s how a business handles those mistakes that shows whether they value their customers. In this case, the experience was completely unprofessional and left us extremely disappointed. We...
